Education Details
- Sub Inspector in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Sub Inspector (Fire) in CISF: A Bachelor’s degree in science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is required, OR Matriculation with a three-year diploma in relevant engineering fields.
- Additional Requirement for Delhi Police (Male Candidates): A valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date of physical tests is mandatory.
Salary
- Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs and Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF: Pay scale of Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400/-). The post is classified as Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.
- Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police: Pay scale of Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400/-), classified as Group ‘C’.
Age Limit
- For all posts (except SI Fire in CISF): The age limit is 20 to 25 years as of 01.08.2026. Candidates must be born between 02.08.2001 and 01.08.2006.
- For SI (Fire) in CISF: The age limit is 18 to 30 years as of 01.08.2026. Candidates must be born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2008.

Important Rules Regarding Age and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Quota
- Age Reckoning Date: The crucial date for determining age limits and relaxations is August 1, 2026.
- Date of Birth Proof: Only the Date of Birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted. No subsequent requests for change will be granted.
- Dependents: Age relaxation or ESM reservation is not admissible to sons, daughters, and dependents of Ex-Servicemen.
- Civil Employment: Ex-Servicemen who have already secured regular civil employment under the Government in Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ posts after availing of ESM benefits are not eligible for further reservation or fee concession, though they may still claim age relaxation under specific conditions.

The selection process comprises four mandatory stages:

- Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET)
- Paper-II (Computer Based Examination)
