Kendriya Vidyalaya KVS Balvatika 1, 2, 3 and Class 1 Admission 2026-27 Application: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has released the Balvatika-1, 2 & 3 and Class-I Admission Schedule for the academic year 2026-2027. According to the Official Notification released by KVS, The Online Application process for Admission into Balvatika-1 & 3 and Class-I in Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools across the country starts on 20 March 2026. The Last date for Online Registrations is 02 April 2026.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Admission Notice 2026-27
Online Registration for Admission in Class-I and Balvatika (in selected KVs) in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the Academic Year 2026-27 will commence at 10:00 am on 07.03.2026 and will close at 10:00 pm on 21.03.2026.

KVS Admission 2026-27: Priorities
The following priorities shall be followed in granting admissions:
- Children of Transferable and Non-transferable Central Government Employees and children of Ex- servicemen
- Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertaking/Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India.
- Children of transferable and non-transferable State Government employees.
- Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/ Public Sector Undertakings/Institute of Higher Learning of the State Governments.
- Children from any other category i.e., all those not covered under any of the categories 1 to 4 listed above.
Note: Preference for admission to wards will be based on the number of transfers by the parents in the last 7 years.
KVS Admission 2026-27: Age limit
Minimum age for admission in Class-I will be 6 years. Reckoning of age for all Classes shall be as on 31.03.2026. Reservation of seats will be as per KVS Admission Guidelines 2026-27.
- For Class Ist & 2nd [06 to 08 years]: Born not earlier 01.04.2018 and not later than 01.04.2020. (both dates inclusive)
- For Class 3rd [07 to 09 years]: Born not earlier 01.04.2017 and not later than 01.04.2019 (both dates inclusive)
- For Class 4th [08 to 10 years]: Born not earlier 01.04.2016 and not later than 01.04.2018 (both dates inclusive)
- For Class 5th [09 to 11 years]: Born not earlier 01.04.2015 and not later than 01.04.2017 (both dates inclusive)
- For Class 6th [10 to 12 years]: Born not earlier 01.04.2014 and not later than 01.04.2016 (both dates inclusive)
- For Class 7th [11 to 13 years]: Born not earlier 01.04.2013 and not later than 01.04.2015 (both dates inclusive)
- For Class 8th [12 to 14 years]: Born not earlier 01.04.2012 and not later than 01.04.2014 (both dates inclusive)
- For Class 9th [13 to 15 years]: Born not earlier 01.04.2011 and not later than 01.04.2013 (both dates inclusive)
- For Class 10th [14 to 16 years]: Born not earlier 01.04.2010 and not later than 01.04.2012 (both dates inclusive)
Age for Balvatika-1, 2 & 3 will be 3 to 4 years, 4 to 5 years and 5 to 6 years respectively as on 31.03.2026.
Registration for fresh admissions, in Balvatika-2 & 3 (where online admissions are not taking place), Class II and above (except class XI), will start from 02.04.2026 at 10:00 am to 11.04.2026 up to 04:00 pm, if vacancies exist, in offline mode only. The duly filled up form needs to be submitted to the office of the Principal in the respective KV.

Admission will not be granted if any incorrect or misleading information is found in the application form during scrutiny by the KV. Contact the Principal/Admission In-charge only when called, within the given time slot.
Fee Details
- No fee to be charged from the children admitted under the 25% quota prescribed under RTE Act 2009.
- Once the children are admitted in Class I under the RTE Act, they will continue to enjoy exemptions and concessions till Class VIII in the same KV.
- Proof of the parent should be furnished at the time of registration.
- Employees who have the facility for fee reimbursement in their departments cannot claim RTE concessions.
