Vacancy Details

Ordnance Factory Kanpur is recruiting for a total of 151 vacancies across various trades. The positions are primarily for Machinists, with additional openings for Examiners, Electroplaters, Fitters, Electricians, and Welders.

Education Details

Candidates must possess Matriculation along with a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) issued by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT). Specific NAC/NTC trades are required for each post (e.g., Fitter trade for Fitter General, TIG/MIG Welder for Welder).

Salary

Contractual employees will receive a consolidated monthly salary that includes a Basic Pay of Rs. 18,000 (as per 7th CPC Level-1) plus Dearness Allowance. The remuneration is calculated at 1/30th  of the relevant pay scale basic plus DA for an 8-hour workday. An annual increment of 3% on Basic Pay is possible subject to satisfactory performance.

Age Limit

The age limit for general candidates is between 18 and 35 years as of the last date of application receipt. Age relaxation applies for reserved categories: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and up to 15 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) depending on their category.

Selection Process

The selection will be based entirely on merit. It involves the following stages:

• Merit List Preparation: Based on combined marks from the NCTVT (NCVT) Exam and a Trade/Practical Test. Weightage is 80% for NCTVT and 20% for the Trade/Practical Test.

• Trade Test/Practical Test: Conducted by Ordnance Factory Kanpur.

• Document Verification: For candidates who qualify in the NCTVT and Trade/Practical Test.

• Medical Fitness Test: Selected candidates must pass a medical examination before joining.
