Educational Details

The required educational qualifications vary significantly based on the specific post applied for:

  • Teaching Posts (TGT/Special Educator): Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or B.Ed/D.Ed in the relevant subjects along with a CTET qualification (Elementary or Primary Stage as applicable) and registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) for special education roles.

  • Junior Scientific Assistants: Requires a Master’s degree in specific science disciplines (such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Forensic Science) or a B.E./B.Tech in relevant engineering fields depending on the trade.

  • Technical/IT Assistants: Qualifications range from a 12th pass with a minimum typing speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour to ITI certificates, Diplomas, or Bachelor’s Degrees in Computer Engineering.

Salary

The selected candidates will be compensated under different Pay Levels according to their post grade. The roles fall under Group B and Group C, offering competitive pay scales ranging from Pay Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) for entry-level technical roles, up to Pay Level-7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400) for Teaching posts like TGT under the General Central Service rules.

Age Limit

The required age limit for candidates is determined as of the closing cut-off date (15/07/2026):

  • Group C Posts (e.g., Scientific Assistants): Between 18 to 27 years.

  • Teaching Posts (TGTs): Not exceeding 30 years.

  • NDMC Technical Posts (e.g., Fitter): Between 18 to 32 years (or 20-32 years depending on post rules).

  • Note: Permissible age relaxation applies as per government norms (+5 years for SC/ST, +3 years for OBC, and +10 years for PwBD).

Selection Process

The selection will be primarily based on a One Tier written examination (Computer Based Test). The exam features multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering General Awareness, Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Language Tests (Hindi & English). Technical and Teaching posts also include a mandatory Section-B focused entirely on subject-specific domain knowledge or teaching methodology. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will apply for each wrong answer.
