KSP Civil Police Constable Recruitment 2026: The Karnataka State Police (KSP) has released an official notification inviting applications for the recruitment of Police Constable (Civil) positions across the state. Vacancy Details

The recruitment initiative comprises 3,395 vacancies for the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) and 596 vacancies for the Kalyana Karnataka (KK) region. Candidates should carefully select their preferred unit as per the classification and eligibility criteria provided in the official notification.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed PUC (12th grade) or an equivalent qualification recognized by the board. This includes CBSE, ISC, NIOS, or a 3-year Diploma/JOC as per government norms. All qualification documents must be obtained on or before the last date of application.

• Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years.

  • Maximum Age (General): 33 years.

  • Max Age (SC/ST/Cat-1/2A/2B/3A/3B): 35 years.

  • Max Age (Tribal – Forest Areas): 38 years.

  • Note: In-service candidates have a maximum age limit of 38 years (General) and 40 years (Reserved). A 5-year relaxation is applicable as per the latest government order.

• Salary Scale: Rs. 37,500 – 76,100/-.

Selection Process

The selection for the Police Constable (Civil) positions will follow a multi-stage process:

1. Written Examination: An OMR-based offline test comprising 100 questions (100 marks).

2. Physical Standard & Endurance Test: Candidates shortlisted (1:5 ratio) based on written exam scores will proceed to Physical Standard Test (PST) and Endurance Test (ET).

3. Medical Examination: Final medical assessment by a medical board for qualified candidates.
