AIIMS NORCET 11 2026 Notification: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has officially released the recruitment notification (Notice No. 103/2026) for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-11. Vacancy Details

The overall vacancy count for NORCET-11 is tentative and subject to updates from individual participating AIIMS institutes and partner institutions. In compliance with the Central Institute Body (CIB) directives, 80% of total seats across participating AIIMS are reserved for female candidates, while 20% are allocated to male candidates.

AIIMS NORCET 11 – Education Details

Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Nursing Council-recognized institution:

• Option A: B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

  • Must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State / Indian Nursing Council.

• Option B: Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM).

  • Registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State / Indian Nursing Council.

  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds after acquiring the diploma qualification and registration.

Salary

Selected Nursing Officers will be placed at Level 07 in the Pay Matrix (pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs. 9,300 – Rs. 34,800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4,600/-). In addition to basic pay, appointees will receive usual allowances as admissible to Central Government servants of similar status.

AIIMS NORCET 11 Jobs: Age Limit

• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age as of the application closing date (August 13, 2026).

Upper Age Relaxations

• SC / ST: 5 years

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years

• PwBD: 10 years (Up to a maximum age of 56 years)

• PwBD + OBC: 13 years (Up to 56 years)

• PwBD + SC / ST: 15 years (Up to 56 years)

• Ex-Servicemen: Military service length plus 3 years

• Central Govt. Civilian Employees: 5 to 10 years (depending on category and continuous service).

Selection Process

The NORCET-11 selection framework involves two computer-based examination stages followed by document verification:

1. Stage-I: NORCET Preliminary Examination (CBT): Qualifying in nature. Features 100 MCQs (20 General Knowledge & Aptitude, 80 Nursing Core) for 90 minutes with 1/3 negative marking. Marks earned in Stage-I will not count toward final merit ranking.

2. Stage-II: NORCET Mains Examination (CBT): Candidates equal to 5 times the vacancies in each category who qualify Stage-I will be invited. Consists of 160 MCQs covering practical/case scenario-based nursing competency for 180 minutes. Final merit rank and seat allocation are based purely on Stage-II performance.

3. Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Provisionally selected candidates must undergo document verification and medical evaluation at their respective allocated institutes.

• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Exempted

Note: The application fee for SC/ST candidates who appear in the examination will be refunded after the declaration of final results. Fee payment must be completed online using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
