Eligibility Criteria for NTPC ACT Jobs
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Regular/Full-time M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized Indian University or Institute.
Applicants in the General, EWS, and OBC categories must secure at least 60% aggregate marks.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are eligible to apply with just passing marks.
Final year/semester students expecting their final results by 31.07.2026 are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for applicants is 27 years as of the last date of the online application.
Age relaxation applies per Government guidelines: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.
Salary and Compensation
Selected trainees will be placed at the E0 Grade.
The basic pay is Rs. 30,000/- within the pay scale of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,20,000/-.
Benefits such as Dearness Allowance, perquisites, and terminal benefits will be provided according to company rules during and after training.
Selection Process
The NTPC management will select candidates through a rigorous evaluation process:
Online Selection Test: Candidates must appear for an All India based online test, which consists of a Subject Knowledge Test and an Executive Aptitude Test. Candidates must qualify in both parts independently.
Document Verification: Successful candidates will be shortlisted for further processes based on category-wise merit and vacancy count.
Medical Examination: All chosen candidates must pass a health evaluation by the NTPC Medical Board/Officer before joining.
Placement & Service Bond
Selected candidates will undergo one year of training.
General, EWS, and OBC candidates must execute a service bond of Rs. 2,50,000/-.
SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are required to sign a bond of Rs. 1,25,000/-.
Candidates must agree to serve the company for a minimum of 3 years following the successful completion of their training.
