Educational Qualification
Candidates must have successfully passed a Graduation degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university or state government as of August 01, 2025.

Age Relaxation Rules:
Bihar Government Employees: Regular state government employees who have completed at least 3 years of continuous service receive a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.
Ex-Servicemen: Eligible for an upper age relaxation equal to their years of defense service plus 3 years, provided their actual age does not exceed 57 years on the cut-off date.

All Categories (Male/Female/Third Gender): Rs. 100/-

Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on multiple stages:
Preliminary Written Exam: A 2-hour exam for 200 marks containing 100 objective-type questions based on General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Candidates who secure less than 30% marks will be disqualified.
Mains Written Exam: The mains will have two papers. Paper I is General Hindi (200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours). Paper II covers General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Ability (200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours). There is a negative marking of 0.2 marks for every wrong answer.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Qualified candidates will have to pass physical standards including a run, high jump, long jump, and shot put.

Physical Standards (PMT & PET)
Candidates applying for the Company Commander post must fulfill the mandatory physical criteria listed below. Please note that while these tests are qualifying in nature and carry no extra marks, failing to meet any of the benchmarks will lead to immediate disqualification.
1. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
Height Requirements
General (UR) & BC Male Candidates: Minimum 165 cm
EBC, SC, & ST Male Candidates: Minimum 160 cm
All Categories of Female Candidates: Minimum 155 cm
Third Gender Candidates: Criteria are identical to BC category standards.
Chest Requirements (For Male Candidates Only)
General (UR), BC, & EBC Category: Unexpanded – 81 cm (minimum); Expanded – 86 cm (minimum) (A minimum expansion of 5 cm is mandatory).
SC & ST Category: Unexpanded – 79 cm (minimum); Expanded – 84 cm (minimum) (A minimum expansion of 5 cm is mandatory).
Note: Chest measurements are not applicable for female candidates.
Weight Requirements
All Categories of Female Candidates: Must weigh at least 48 kg.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who successfully clear the written examinations must pass the following multi-stage physical events:
Running (Race)
Male Candidates: 1 Mile (1.6 km) must be completed within 6 minutes 30 seconds.
Female Candidates: 1 Kilometer must be completed within 6 minutes.
High Jump
Male Candidates: Minimum 4 feet.
Female Candidates: Minimum 3 feet.
Long Jump
Male Candidates: Minimum 12 feet.
Female Candidates: Minimum 9 feet.
Shot Put (Gola Fek)
Male Candidates: Must throw a 16-pound iron ball to a minimum distance of 16 feet.
Female Candidates: Must throw a 12-pound iron ball to a minimum distance of 10 feet.
Important Instruction: Candidates must clear the running round within the given time frame to become eligible for the remaining segments (high jump, long jump, and shot put). A maximum of three attempts will be provided exclusively for the high jump, long jump, and shot put events. Female candidates who are pregnant at the time of the PET will be declared medically unfit and not allowed to participate.
