APSC Prelims Answer Key 2026 Out

The Assam Public Service Commission has released the provisional answer keys for the APSC Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination 2026. Candidates who appeared in the examination can now check the answer keys for General Studies Paper-I and General Studies Paper-II for their respective question paper series. The exam is commonly searched as APSC Prelims Answer Key 2026, but the official exam name is Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2025, conducted under Advt. No. 01/2026. The provisional key helps candidates estimate their probable scores before the results are declared. APSC has uploaded the answer keys for both papers and series A, B, C, and D on its official website.

APSC Prelims Exam Details 2026

The APSC CCE Prelims exam was held on 5 July 2026. The examination included two objective-type papers: General Studies Paper-I and General Studies Paper-II. Each paper carries 200 marks, making the preliminary stage a total of 400 marks. Paper-II, also known as CSAT, is qualifying in nature, and candidates must score at least 33% in this paper. The official APSC CCE exam scheme lists General Studies-I as a 200-mark, 2-hour paper, and Paper-II requires a minimum qualifying mark of 33%.

Candidates should not treat the provisional answer key as the final result. APSC first releases the provisional key, accepts valid objections, examines the claims, and then prepares the final answer key. The result is normally prepared based on the final answer key, not the first provisional version.

APSC Prelims Cutoff Marks 2026

The official APSC Prelims Cutoff Marks 2026 have not been released yet. Candidates should be careful here: any category-wise cutoff circulating before the result is only an estimate, not an official figure. The real cutoff will depend on exam difficulty, number of candidates, number of vacancies, category reservation and final evaluation after objections.

For reference, the CSAT paper has a fixed qualifying requirement of 33%, which means candidates need 66 marks out of 200 in Paper-II. However, CSAT marks are not used for ranking. The merit-based shortlisting for Mains depends mainly on Paper-I performance, subject to qualifying Paper-II.

As a previous benchmark, reported APSC CCE 2024 Prelims cutoffs were: General UR male 87.50 and female 86.00, OBC/MOBC 76.00, SC 71.50, ST(P) 70.50 and ST(H) 60.00. These figures are only a past trend and should not be treated as the 2026 cutoff.
