Educational Details

Candidates must meet the following qualification requirements specified for apprenticeship training:

  1. Graduate Apprentices (Engineering): Full-time regular 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant branches (Electrical, Civil, Electronic & Communication, Telecommunication, Computer Science, IT, Mechanical, or Automobile) from an AICTE/Government recognized institution.

  2. Graduate Apprentices (Non-Engineering):

    • Finance: Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).

    • Human Resources (HR): Degree in any stream with knowledge of computer and administrative work.

  3. Diploma Apprentices: Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Automobile) from an AICTE/Government recognized institution.

  4. Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates).

  5. Passing Year Criteria: Candidates who passed their Degree/Diploma on or after 01.04.2022 only are eligible. Students awaiting final year results may apply, subject to fulfilling qualification criteria and producing certificates during joining.

  6. Domicile Criteria: Applicants must be domiciled in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, or UT of Diu residing near the respective airport locations.

  7. Ineligibility: Candidates with 1 year or more of job/training experience or those who have previously undergone/terminated apprenticeship training are not eligible.

Stipend Details

Selected apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend as per the Apprenticeship Act rules, paid partially by AAI and directly by the Government via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) through BOAT:

  • Graduate Apprentices: ₹15,000/- per month (₹8,850 from AAI Establishment + ₹6,150 Government Share via DBT)

  • Diploma Apprentices: ₹12,000/- per month (₹6,550 from AAI Establishment + ₹5,450 Government Share via DBT)

Age Limit

The age limits evaluated as on July 31, 2026, are as follows:

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years

  • Maximum Age: 26 Years

  • Age Relaxation:

    • SC / ST Candidates: Upper age relaxation of 5 years.

    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: Upper age relaxation of 3 years.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for AAI Western Region Apprenticeship training will follow these stages:

  1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the aggregate percentage (%) of marks obtained in their qualifying Degree or Diploma examination.

  2. Interview / Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Document Verification and Interview via their registered email IDs.

  3. Medical & Police Verification: Final engagement is subject to submitting a Certificate of Medical Fitness (from a Gazetted Government Medical Officer) and a local Police Verification Certificate at the time of joining.
