Haryana Police Special Police Officer Recruitment 2026: The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Telecommunication, Haryana, Panchkula has released an official notification for the engagement of 400 Special Police Officers (SPOs) under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007. This recruitment drive invites eligible Ex-Servicemen from the Armed Forces / Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and ex-Constables from the disbanded HSISF and HAP battalions to serve in the Telecommunication Wing.
The selection will be conducted through direct walk-in document verification and interviews scheduled district-wise from August 24, 2026, to August 27, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the SPO posts must fulfill the following mandatory qualifications and service requirements:
1. Eligible Categories
- Ex-Servicemen: Former personnel of the Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) or Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
- Disbanded Forces: Ex-Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF) or Haryana Armed Police (HAP) Battalions.
- Special Preference: Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience handling telecommunication equipment, especially those who served in the Signal Corps.
2. Educational Qualification & Age Limit
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized education board.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 25 and 50 years of age as of the advertisement date.
3. Service & Conduct Conditions
- Minimum Service: A minimum of 5 years of regular service in the Armed Forces or CAPFs is mandatory.
- Medical Category: Medical category at the time of discharge must be ‘A’.
- Character Record: Character certificate at the time of discharge must be rated as ‘Exemplary’ or ‘Outstanding’.
- Disciplinary Record: Candidates must not have been dismissed or removed from service due to misconduct, indiscipline, or medical unfitness.
Monthly Salary & Allowances
Selected SPO candidates are entitled to a consolidated remuneration package and welfare benefits:
- Monthly Honorarium: ₹20,000/- per month (credited directly to the candidate’s bank account).
- One-Time Uniform Allowance: ₹3,000/- provided at the time of joining for 2 sets of uniform, footwear, insignia, and lanyard/cap.
- Daily Allowance (TA/DA): ₹150/- per day during official tours.
- Casual Leave: Admissible as per the rules applicable to Haryana Police Constables.
Ex-Gratia Compensation Rates
- Death in Line of Duty: ₹10,000,000 (₹10 Lakhs) to the next of kin.
- Permanent Disability (in Action): ₹100,000 to ₹300,000 (₹1 Lakh to ₹3 Lakhs).
- Grave Injury (in Action): Up to ₹100,000 (₹1 Lakh).
- Natural Death during Service: ₹300,000 (₹3 Lakhs) admissible to the family.
Selection Process & Training
The engagement process is entirely merit and credential-based:
- No Examination: There will be no written examination or physical efficiency test.
- Screening: Candidates will be screened based on service records, educational documents, and suitability.
- Medical & Character Verification: Candidates will undergo a standard medical examination and antecedents verification from their respective district police authority before appointment.
- Induction Training: All selected candidates will undergo a mandatory 15-day orientation capsule course to align with Haryana Police operational protocols.

Documents Required at the Time of Walk-In
Candidates must report to the venue in person on their district’s designated date with the following documents:
- Duly filled application form (completed in capital letters).
- Original certificates of educational qualification (10th, 10+2, Higher education if applicable) along with 1 set of self-attested photocopies.
- Discharge Book / Service Certificate showing medical category ‘A’ and exemplary/outstanding character.
- Valid photo identity cards (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card) and Bank Account Passbook copy.
- Category / Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- Prescribed notarized Affidavit declaring clean legal record and willingness to serve.
- 04 recent passport-size colored photographs.
