SAIL Bhilai Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Academic Mode: Only candidates who completed qualifying courses as regular full-time students are eligible.
Passing Year Restriction: Candidates must have graduated/passed in the last five years: 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026. Those awaiting final results as of the closing date cannot apply.
Prior Experience / Apprenticeship Bar: Individuals with one or more years of work experience or prior/ongoing apprenticeship training are not eligible.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years as on October 31, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable per Government of Chhattisgarh norms.
Selection Process
Selection is conducted on the basis of academic merit evaluated during the walk-in reporting process:
Class 10th (Matriculation) Marks: 30% weightage
ITI / Diploma / Degree Qualifying Exam Marks: 70% weightage
Candidates must convert CGPA/grades to equivalent percentages according to their board/university guidelines prior to submission.

For Degree / Diploma Apprentices:
Register as a student on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in.
