LIC ADO 2026: Education Qualification & Experience Details
Educational qualifications must be obtained from a recognized University or Institute recognized by the Government of India.

LIC ADO 2026: Stipend Structure
- Apprentice Period: Candidates selected as Apprentice Development Officers will receive a fixed monthly stipend of approximately Rs. 51,500/- per month (as per current wage settlement standards) during the apprenticeship period.
- Probationary Development Officer: On successful completion of the apprenticeship examination and onboarding as a Probationary Development Officer, candidates are placed in the basic pay scale of Rs. 35,650 – Rs. 90,200/- plus applicable allowances.
- Emoluments & Allowances: Total monthly gross emoluments exceed Rs. 56,000/- to Rs. 60,000/- per month depending on city classification (Class ‘A’, ‘B’, or ‘C’). Admissible perks include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), gratuity, LTC, group insurance, medical benefits, and performance-based incentive bonuses.

LIC ADO 2026: Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection methodology differs according to the candidate category:
1. Preliminary Examination (Open Market Category Only)
The Prelims exam is an objective test conducted online. English language marks serve as qualifying marks only and are not counted for ranking.

Candidates qualifying in Prelims (for Open Market) and eligible Agent/Employee applicants appear directly for the online Mains examination:
- For Open Market Category: 160 questions (160 marks, 120 minutes) covering Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Knowledge/Current Affairs/English, and Insurance & Financial Marketing Awareness.
- For Agents Category: 160 questions (160 marks, 120 minutes) covering Reasoning & Numerical Ability, GK/Current Affairs/English, and Elements of Insurance & Marketing of Insurance.
- For Employee Category: 160 questions (160 marks, 120 minutes) covering Reasoning & Numerical Ability, GK/Current Affairs/English, and Practice and Principle of Insurance/Marketing and specialized life insurance operations.
3. Personal Interview & Medical Examination
- Candidates shortlisted from the Mains Examination appear for an in-person Interview carrying 40 marks.
- Final selection is determined based on the combined score in the Mains Examination and Interview, followed by clearing a Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination.

- Scroll to the bottom and click on the Careers tab.
- Locate and select the link titled “Recruitment of Apprentice Development Officer 2026-27”.
- Click on “Apply Online” to open the online application registration system.
- Select “Click here for New Registration” and enter your basic contact details (full name, email ID, and mobile number) to generate a provisional Registration Number and Password.
- Log in using your generated credentials and complete the detailed application form, selecting your preferred Zone and Category (Open Market / Agent / Employee).
- Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph, specimen signature, left thumb impression, and hand-written declaration in the required format and dimensions.
