APPSC Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector Recruitment 2026 Educational & Technical Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants must hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering from a recognised university.
- Alternatively, candidates must hold a Diploma in Automobile Engineering issued by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh, or a Technological Diploma Examination Board.
Technical Qualification:
- Candidates must hold a Motor Driving License with at least 3 years of driving experience and possess a Heavy Transport vehicles endorsement.
- Women holding a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License only can also apply, provided they acquire the Heavy Transport Vehicle Endorsement within two years of joining the service as an Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 36 Years
Note: Minimum and Maximum Age will be reckoned as on 01/07/2026.
Salary
Appointed candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 48,440 to Rs. 1,37,220.
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of a single-level Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT), and no preliminary screening test will be conducted. The written examination comprises:
- Paper-I: General Studies & Mental Ability (Degree Standard) – 150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks.
- Paper-II: Automobile Engineering (Diploma Standard) – 150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 300 Marks.
- There is a negative marking system where 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
