K-TET February 2026 Special Notification, Dates, Eligibility

Pareekshabhavan, Kerala, has released the Kerala TET 2026 February Session Notification at ktet.kerala.gov.in. Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) 2026 applications will be accepted from 26 February to 07 March 2026.

കേരള ടീച്ചർ എലിജിബിലിറ്റി ടെസ്റ്റ് (കെ-ടെറ്റ്) ഫെബ്രുവരി 2026 പരീക്ഷയുടെ വിജ്ഞാപനം പരീക്ഷാ കമ്മീഷണറുടെ കാര്യാലയം, പരീക്ഷാഭവൻ, പൂജപ്പുര, തിരുവനന്തപുരം-12 പുറത്തിറക്കി. സർവ്വീസിലുള്ള അദ്ധ്യാപകർ/അനധ്യാപകർക്കായുള്ള പ്രത്യേക വിജ്ഞാപനമാണിത്.

The board invites applications from candidates through online mode. Per the Schedule, the KTET exam will be conducted on 13 March 2026. പരീക്ഷാ കാറ്റഗറികൾ

കെ-ടെറ്റ് പരീക്ഷ നാല് വിഭാഗങ്ങളിലാണ് നടത്തുന്നത്:

• വിഭാഗം I (Category I): ലോവർ പ്രൈമറി ക്ലാസ്സുകൾ
• വിഭാഗം II (Category II): അപ്പർ പ്രൈമറി ക്ലാസ്സുകൾ
• വിഭാഗം III (Category III): ഹൈസ്കൂ‌ൾ ക്ലാസ്സുകൾ
• വിഭാഗം IV (Category IV): ഭാഷാ അധ്യാപകർ (അറബി, ഹിന്ദി, സംസ്കൃതം, ഉറുദു – യു.പി തലം വരെ), സ്പെഷ്യലിസ്റ്റ് അധ്യാപകർ (ആർട്ട് & ക്രാഫ്റ്റ്, കായിക അധ്യാപകർ)

സർവ്വീസിലുള്ള അദ്ധ്യാപകർ/അനധ്യാപകർക്ക് മാത്രമായുള്ള പ്രത്യേക പരീക്ഷ ആയതിനാൽ അപേക്ഷാ ഫീസ് താഴെ നൽകുന്നു:

Kerala TET 2026: Eligibility

Paper I – Lower Primary Classes (Class 1-5)

• Candidates should qualify in 12th/10+2 (or it’s equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks and having a certificate of the two-year teacher training course (TTC)  from the recognized Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.
• Candidates should complete Senior Secondary or it’s equivalent with at least 50% marks and must complete 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
• Candidates should qualify in 12th/10+2 or it’s equivalent with at least 45% marks along with qualifying 2-year diploma in elementary education by NCTE, Regulations 2002.
• Those who have completed 12th/10+2 (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a degree in 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) are eligible to apply.

Paper-II – Upper Primary classes (Class 6-8)

• Candidates must complete a B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com. graduation degree and a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education/a Trained Teachers’ Certificate conducted by the Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala, or its equivalent.
• Those who are Qualified for 12th or Senior Secondary or it’s equivalent with at least 50% marks along with appearing and qualifying for a year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) are eligible to apply.
• Those who have completed graduation in B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com with a minimum of 45% marks and possess one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) from the recognized university are eligible
• Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and four-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed are eligible

Paper/ Category III – High School classes (Class 9-12)

• Candidates must complete their Graduation with a BA/BSc/B.Com degree securing at least 45% marks along with a B.Ed certificate are eligible to apply
• Those willing to apply for Mathematics / Physics/ Chemistry/ Botany / Zoology should have MSc.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned with not less than 50% marks from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT to be eligible to apply.
• Those candidates who are interested in Botany / Zoology subjects should be qualified with MSc.Ed. Degree in Life Science with minimum 50% marks from any Regional Institutes of Education is eligible to apply.

Paper/ Category IV – High School classes (Class 9-12)

• Candidates should have a Certificate of Diploma/ Degree in teaching in any subject, and are approved by Universities/NCTE/ Board of Examinations/ Government of Kerala, are eligible to apply.
• Those who have acquired qualifications for the posts of Language Teachers of Arabic /Hindi/ Sanskrit / Urdu Specialist teachers & Physical Education teachers can apply for Kerala TET 2026 paper IV.

Kerala TET 2026 Application Fee

• General / OBC – Rs. 1000
• SC / ST – Rs. 750

Kerala TET 2026 Exam – Apply Online

The test is conducted for lower primary (KTET 1) teachers, upper primary (KTET 2) teachers, high school (KTET 3)teachers, language teachers up to upper primary or specialist, and physical education teachers up to high school level (KTET 4) and; those who appeared for D.Ed/B.Ed.

How to apply for KTET exams 2026:

• Go to the official website for the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan (bpekerala.in).
• Click on “KTET 2026”.
• Follow the links for “step 1 registration” and “step 2 registration.”
• Fill in all the details such as Personal details and Education details.
• Check the details once again.
• Make a Payment of the Application Fee through Online i.e.  Debit Card, Credit card, Net Banking.
• Save the Application and Take a Printout of it for future reference..
