The AAI North Eastern Region has announced a total of 95 vacancies for the 2026 apprenticeship training program. These positions are distributed among Graduate, Diploma, and ITI Trade apprentices across various engineering and non-engineering disciplines to provide practical aviation industry experience.

Education Details

To be eligible for the apprenticeship program, candidates must possess the following educational qualifications from a recognized board or university (candidates must have passed their qualifying examination in the recent specified years as per the official PDF):

• Graduate Apprentice: Full-time (regular) 4-year degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant disciplines such as Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or IT.

• Diploma Apprentice: Full-time (regular) 3-year Diploma in Engineering in the respective streams recognized by AICTE.

• ITI Trade Apprentice: ITI/NCVT certificate in relevant trades (e.g., Fitter, Electrician, COPA, Mechanic).

Salary (Monthly Stipend)

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly stipend for the one-year duration of their training:

• Graduate (Degree) Apprentices: Rs. 15,000/-

• Technical (Diploma) Apprentices: Rs. 12,000/-

• Trade (ITI) Apprentices: Rs. 9,000/-

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years

• Maximum Age: 26 Years

• Note: Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates in accordance with standard Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process

The selection for AAI NER Apprenticeship 2026 will be conducted through the following stages:

1. Merit List: Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying examination (Degree / Diploma / ITI).

2. Document Verification & Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and a basic interview through their registered email IDs.

3. Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to the verification of all original certificates and the submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining.

There is No Application Fee required for candidates of any category (General/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD) to apply for this apprenticeship program.
