The District Welfare Officer, Adilabad, has notified 91 Anganwadi Teacher and 173 Anganwadi Helper posts across Scheduled and Non-Scheduled areas in Adilabad (U), Boath, and Jainad ICDS projects (with 119 AWH vacancies specifically in Adilabad Urban and Boath combined).

Adilabad District Anganwadi Notification 2026 Education Details

• Anganwadi Teacher (AWT) & Anganwadi Helper (AWH): Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th Class) as the minimum educational qualification (as per G.O.Ms.No. 37, Dept. for WCD&SC, dated 29.12.2022).

• Relaxation for Anganwadi Helper (AWH): In case no Intermediate (12th Class) passed candidate is available for an Anganwadi Helper post, candidates who have passed SSC (10th Class) will be considered for selection.

• Local Status & Residency Criteria:

  • Only female candidates belonging to the state of Telangana are eligible.

  • The applicant must be a local married/resident woman of the respective Ward (in urban areas) or Gram Panchayat (in rural areas) where the Anganwadi Centre is located.

  • ST Earmarked Posts: Under the SC/ST Sub-Plan, posts earmarked for ST (Hamlet/Habitation) can only be filled by local ST female candidates belonging to that exact Hamlet/Habitation.

  • SC Earmarked Posts: Posts earmarked for SC habitations can only be filled by local SC female candidates residing in the same Gram Panchayat.

• Differently Abled (PwBD) Eligibility: Candidates applying under the disability quota must possess a valid SADARAM Certificate and will be evaluated according to the guidelines in G.O.Ms.No. 39, WCD&SC Dept., dated 06.09.2011.

Adilabad District Anganwadi Salary Details / Honorarium

• Selected Anganwadi Teachers (AWT) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWH) will receive a monthly honorarium and allowances as prescribed by the Women Development & Child Welfare Department, Government of Telangana, under the Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 norms.

Age Limit (As on 01.07.2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years

• Maximum Age: 35 Years

• The age limit of 18 to 35 years as of July 1, 2026, is strictly enforced in accordance with the Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0 guidelines.

• Merit & Rule of Reservation: Candidates will be selected based on their academic merit in the qualifying examination (Intermediate / SSC), verification of local residency, caste/sub-plan earmarking rules, and rule of reservation guidelines issued by the Government of Telangana.

• Document Verification: All applicants must submit their online application printout along with copies of requisite certificates at the respective CDPO office for physical verification.
