Age Limit
- General Age Limit: Candidates should generally fall in the age bracket of 18 to 42 Years.
- Uniformed/Executive Posts: Posts like DSP or Deputy Collector may have specific age criteria (e.g., minimum 21 years).
- Age Relaxations: Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, BC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of Andhra Pradesh rules. The exact crucial date for age calculation will be specified in the detailed notification.
Physical Requirements (For Police Service Posts 03 & 04):
Men: Must not be less than 167.6 Cms in height and 86.3 Cms round the chest on full inspiration, with a minimum expansion of 5 Cms. For ST candidates, the minimum height is 164 Cms and chest is 83.8 Cms.
Women: Must not be less than 152.5 Cms in height and 45.5 Kgs in weight.
Vision: Candidates must meet specific distance and near vision requirements certified by a Medical Board.
APPSC Group-1 2026: Selection Process
Screening Test (Objective Type): Consists of two papers (General Studies and General Aptitude), each worth 120 marks for a total of 240 marks. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd for each incorrect answer.
Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type): Candidates are shortlisted for the Mains at a ratio of 50 times the number of available vacancies. The Main exam includes two qualifying language papers (English and Telugu) and five core papers worth 150 marks each.
Interview (Personality Test): Carries a weightage of 75 marks.
The final selection is based on the combined merit of the Main Written Examination (750 Marks) and the Interview (75 Marks), totaling 825 marks. Candidates must secure minimum qualifying aggregate marks: 40% for OC/Sportspersons/EWS, 35% for Backward Classes, and 30% for SC/ST/PBDs.

Application Processing Fee: Rs. 250/-.
Examination Fee: Rs. 120/-.
Fee Exemptions: Candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, PBDs, Ex-Servicemen, families holding a White Card issued by the Civil Supplies Department of A.P., and unemployed youth (under G.O.Ms.No.439) are exempt from paying the Rs. 120/- examination fee.
Payment Mode: Online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. IPOs and Demand Drafts are strictly not accepted.
