ASC Centre South Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Civilian Catering Instructor (CCI): Matriculation (Class 10) pass from a recognized board along with a Diploma/Certificate in Catering.
  • Cook: Matriculation pass with working knowledge of Indian cooking and proficiency in the trade.
  • MTS (Chowkidar) / Cleaner / Tradesman Mate: Matriculation pass or equivalent with proficiency in the respective trade work.
  • Civilian Motor Driver (OG): Matriculation pass, valid driving license for both Heavy and Light Motor Vehicles, and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • Fire Engine Driver: Matriculation pass, valid heavy vehicle driving license with at least 3 years of driving experience; completion of a fireman course is desirable.
  • Fireman & Leading Fireman: Matriculation pass, conversant with fire extinguishers, appliances, pumps, and fire-fighting operations.

Age Limit (As on Closing Date)

  • Civilian Motor Driver (OG): 18 to 27 years.
  • All Other Trades: 18 to 25 years.
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates receive a 5-year upper age relaxation; OBC candidates receive 3 years; PWD and Ex-Servicemen receive relaxation as per Central Government norms.

Physical Standards & Skill Test Requirements

Candidates applying for Fireman, Leading Fireman, Fire Engine Driver, and Tradesman Mate posts must clear the physical fitness benchmarks:

Physical Standards (Fireman / Leading Fireman / Fire Engine Driver)

  • Height: Minimum 165 cm (2.5 cm relaxation for Scheduled Tribes).
  • Chest: 81.5 cm unexpanded, 85 cm expanded.
  • Weight: Minimum 50 kg.

Endurance Tests

  • Fire Services (Fireman / Leading Fireman / Fire Engine Driver):
    • Carrying a person weighing 65.5 kg to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
    • Clearing a 2.7-meter wide ditch (long jump) landing on both feet.
    • Vertical rope climbing up to 3 meters using hands and feet.
  • Tradesman Mate (Labour):
    • 1.5 km run in 6 minutes.
    • Carrying a 50 kg weight to a distance of 200 meters within 100 seconds.

  1. Prepare Application: Fill out the prescribed proforma on plain paper, neatly handwritten or typed in English or Hindi.
