Vacancy Details

The CRPF has released a total of 9,195 vacancies for 2026. Out of these, 9,175 posts are allocated for Constable (Technical & Tradesmen) for both males and females, while 20 posts are reserved exclusively for male candidates under the Pioneer Wing on an All-India basis.

Education Details

• Constable (Driver): Must have passed Matriculation (10th) from a recognized board and possess a valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving License. Candidates must pass the driving test at the time of recruitment.

• Constable (Motor Mechanic Vehicle): 10th Pass with a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade and one year of practical experience in the field.

• Constable (Other Trades): 10th class pass from a recognized board. Candidates must be proficient and hold practical knowledge/experience in their respective trades (such as Cook, Barber, Tailor, Washerman, etc.).

• Constable (Pioneer Wing – Mason/Electrician): 10th Pass with at least 1 year of experience in the respective trade. Preference is given to candidates with an ITI certificate.

Salary

Selected candidates for the CRPF Constable Tradesman posts will receive a highly competitive salary based on Pay Level-3 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The pay scale ranges from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month. Additionally, candidates will be entitled to government allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), medical facilities, job security, and pension benefits.

Age Limit

• For Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 Years (as on 01.01.2026).

• For Other Tradesmen & Pioneer Posts: 18 to 23 Years (as on 01.01.2026).

Age Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxation applies as per government rules. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories will get a 5-year relaxation, and OBC candidates will get a 3-year relaxation.

Selection Process

The selection for CRPF Tradesman posts is rigorous and involves multiple consecutive stages. Candidates must clear each phase to proceed to the next:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
3. Trade / Skill Test (Practical assessment of the applied trade)
4. Document Verification (DV)
5. Detailed Medical Examination (DME / RME)
