CUSAT CAT 2023 Registrations are Started Online at the official Website i.e., admissions.cusat.ac.in. Those Candidates who are Seeking Admission in Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT) for the Academic Year 2023-23 can Register Their Applications before the Last Date of the Respective Course. The Highlights of CUSAT CAT 2023 are –
CUSAT CAT is the Common Admission Test of Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is scheduled to be conducted in various centers of the country. Candidates who wish admission for programs other than Ph.D./ All Diploma Courses in CUSAT should apply for CAT through this portal. Applications in any other method will not be accepted.
Students who wish to get admission for BTech Marine Engineering at KMSME in CUSAT, should register for CAT2023, select Course B.Tech and complete the center selection step also. The applicants need to appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by Indian Maritime University (IMU) and the admission shall be based on the IMU rank.
Candidates with a valid KMAT/CMAT/CAT(IIM)Score can apply for MBA programs. These candidates will be ranked on the basis of KMAT/CMAT/CAT(IIM) Score, Group Discussion and Interviews.
For M.Tech programs, preference will be given to candidates with valid GATE scores in the respective subject. In the absence of candidates with valid GATE scores, candidates without GATE scores will be admitted on the basis of their performance in the Department Admission Test (DAT) to be conducted by the Departments concerned.
For admissions to Ph.D/ All Diploma Courses in CUSAT need not apply online through this portal. The application will be available from the Departments concerned. For details, please check the website cusat.ac.in/academics

CUSAT CAT 2023: Eligibility
B.A.LLB (Hons.)/ B.Com LLB (Hons.) | Applicants should pass the class XIIth with a minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for arts/commerce) from any recognized board/ institute. |
B.Tech with Integrated M.sc | class XIIth with a minimum of an aggregate of 50% marks and 50% marks in mathematics subjects from any recognized board/ institute. |
B.Tech Marine Engineering | class XIIth with a minimum of an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and 50% marks in mathematics subjects from any recognized board/ institute. |
LLM Courses | Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minimum of an aggregate of 45% marks from any recognized university/ institute. |
Candidates with a valid KMAT, CMAT, CAT (IIM) score can apply for the MBA programmes. These candidates will be ranked on the basis of those exam scores along with group discussions and interviews. For MTech programmes, preference will be given to candidates with valid GATE scores in the respective subject. In the absence of candidates with valid GATE scores, candidates will be admitted on the basis of their performance in the Department Admission Test (DAT) to be conducted by the departments concerned, the notice added.
CUSAT CAT 2023: Fee Details
For candidates opting State Merit /All India Quota seats (other than NRI/ International/PIO/Children of Indian Gulf Workers) application fee to appear for a maximum of two test codes is ₹ 1100 (Rupees One Thousand One hundred only) and for Kerala SC/ Kerala ST candidates to appear for a maximum of two test codes is ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) (regarding ‘Test Codes’ please refer to clause 1.2.5).
For each additional test code ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) for general
candidates and ₹250/- for KSC/KST candidates.
Candidates applying for multiple M.Tech and MBA programmes need to pay the application fees as given above and need not pay any additional Tests fees, as there is no CAT for these programmes.
CUSAT CAT 2023: How to Apply
Click “NEW CANDIDATE REGISTRATION” button and submit details. All fields are mandatory. After submission of details, an activation link will be sent to the email address provided by the candidate. Email account once used/activated can’t be used again. On clicking the activation link (obtained in the email inbox), the user account will be activated. The user name will be candidate’s email address.
Upload a recent passport size photograph of yourself with your well-lit face clearly visible, in portrait orientation.
Select the programme or combination of programmes from the dropdown list. For example, if the candidate wish to appear for undergraduate programmes like B.Tech / Integrated MSc / BBA LL.B / B.Com LL.B / B Voc programmes, they need to select Undergraduate Programme. For those candidates who wish to apply for Postgraduate programmes and MBA, selection of course should be done accordingly.
After submitting course details, a short preview will be available. Candidate should check the short preview carefully. In case any change is needed, go to the required page, make corrections and save changes.
After confirming the preview online payment of application fee is to be made. Payment can be made through all Credit / Debit Cards or Net banking of almost all Banks. At this stage you may check the test centre availability. Please note that the centre availability is only indicative and is subject to change during the actual centre selection stage. The application process for MBA/ M.Tech programmes will be complete only on successful payment of application fees.
After successful completion of payment, the list of available centres will be displayed. Candidate should select one of the test centres where seats are available.
CUSAT CAT 2023: Exam Pattern
The exam syllabus comprises the chapters and topics of physics, chemistry, and mathematics taught prior to conducting the exam based on the syllabus of classes 11 and 12.
The exam pattern for CUSAT CAT 2021 will consist of two papers. The paper I will be of mathematics featuring a total of 125 questions and 375 marks. Paper II will be on physics and chemistry. While physics will have a total of 75 questions and 225 marks, chemistry will feature 50 questions and 150 marks.
