Educational & Technical Qualifications
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Standard under 10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board.
- Technical Qualification: National Trade Certificate (NTC) / ITI Certificate issued by NCVT or SCVT in the relevant designated trade.
- Special Case (Medical Laboratory Technician – Pathology): Passed 12th Standard (under 10+2 system) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) with at least 50% marks in both 10th and 12th standards.
- Ineligibility: Higher qualifications like Engineering Degree (B.E./B.Tech) and Diploma holders are not eligible to apply under this notification. Candidates awaiting final results as of August 21, 2026, cannot apply.
Age Limit (As on 15.09.2026)
- Prescribed Age: Candidates must be between 15 and 24 years of age as on the application closing date (15.09.2026).
- Upper Age Relaxations:
- SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years (up to 29 years)
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years (up to 27 years)
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 Years (up to 34 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: Defence service duration + 3 years (up to 10 additional years)
Stipend & Training Duration
- Training Duration: Apprenticeship training will be for a duration of 1 year.
- Stipend: Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the rates prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Railway Board directives.
- Accommodation: No hostel or boarding facilities are provided; apprentices must make their own living arrangements.
Selection Process
- Merit-Based Selection: Selection will be prepared purely on academic merit based on the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (Class 10).
- Mark Computation: The calculation is based on all subjects listed in the 10th mark sheet (not best-of-five).
- No Examination: There is no written examination or viva-voce.
- Tie-Breaker: In case of equal marks, the older candidate will be ranked higher. If dates of birth are also identical, the candidate who passed the 10th examination earlier gets priority.
- Document Verification (DV) & Medical Fitness: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification at ECoR Headquarters, Bhubaneswar, followed by submission of the Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government Assistant Surgeon.

- Complete the initial registration using an active email address and mobile number to obtain your Registration Number.
- Log in and fill out personal information, academic details, ITI trade, and preference for Division/Workshop carefully.
- Upload clear scanned copies of required documents in the prescribed format:
- Recent colour photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, 20–70 KB, JPG/JPEG)
- Scanned signature (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, 20–30 KB, JPG/JPEG)
- 10th Class Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate (Proof of Date of Birth)
- ITI Consolidated Mark Sheet and NCVT/SCVT Trade Certificate
- Caste / EWS / Disability / Ex-Servicemen Certificate (if applicable)
- Pay the application fee of ₹100/- through the integrated payment gateway (if applicable).
