Educational Qualifications
To be eligible for the Indian Navy Agniveer roles, applicants must hold specific educational qualifications from a recognized Board of School Education:
Agniveer SSR: Must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with Mathematics and Physics, alongside one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science. (Alternatively, a 3-year diploma in engineering or a 2-year vocational course with Physics/Math is accepted).
Agniveer MR: Must have passed the Class 10th (Matriculation) examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Agniveer SSR (Medical Assistant): Must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), scoring a minimum of 50% overall marks and at least 40% in each individual subject.

Salary Structure
Agniveers will receive a customized, progressively increasing monthly package throughout their four-year tenure.

Benefits
Seva Nidhi Package: Upon successful completion of the four-year engagement, Agniveers will be awarded a tax-free Seva Nidhi package consisting of their accumulated corpus fund along with matching government contributions (approximately Rs. 11.71 Lakhs).
Life Insurance Cover: A non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs will be provided for the duration of their tenure.
Leave & Allowances: Entitlement to 30 days of annual leave, required medical leaves, and risk/hardship allowances as applicable.
Post-Release Opportunities: Up to 25% of candidates may be enrolled in the regular cadre of the Indian Navy based on performance. Others receive preference in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and State Police recruitments.
Selection Process
The rigorous selection framework ensures only the finest candidates make the cut:
Stage I: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) – A Computer-Based Examination (CBT) serving as the preliminary shortlisting metric.
Stage II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) & Written Exam – State-wise shortlisted candidates face a grueling PFT (running, squats, push-ups) and a secondary written examination.
Stage III: Recruitment Medical Examination – An initial medical check-up to assess foundational physical fitness parameters.
Stage IV: Final Merit & Final Medicals – The final merit list is released, and selected candidates undergo a definitive medical examination upon their arrival at INS Chilka for training.
Application Fee
An examination fee of Rs. 550/- (Rupees Five hundred fifty only) plus 18% GST has to be paid by candidate during the Stage I – INET application through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI. Admit card will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee.
