Navodaya JNVST Class 6 Online Form 2024-25 | Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Test for 6th Class Navodaya Vidyalaya Application Form: The Navodaya Vidyalaya 6th Class Entrance Test 2024 Application Form is released by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2024 for Admission to Class – VI

Admissions in JNVs are made through the JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SELECTION TEST (JNVST) to Class VI. The medium of instruction in JNVs is the mother tongue or regional language up to Class VIII and thereafter English for Mathematics and Science and Hindi for Social Science. Students of the JNVs appear for board examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education. While education in the schools is free including board & lodging, uniforms and textbooks, a sum of Rs. 600/- per month is collected only from the students of Classes IX to XII towards Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi. However, students belonging to SC/ST categories, all Girls students and students whose family income is below the poverty line (BPL) are exempted. In respect of wards of Government employees other than exempted category (Students of classes VI to VIII, all SC/ST & Girl students, and wards of BPL families) Vikas Nidhi will be charged @Rs.1500/- per month or actual children education allowance received by the parent per month whichever is less. However, VVN shall not be less than Rs.600/- per student per month.

Navodaya Vidyalaya 6th Class Admission Form 2024-25

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Test for 6th Class is started and will be closed on 15th February 2024. The exam date for 6th class selection for Navodaya Vidyalaya summit is 29th April 2024.  And they Admit Card will be release in march 2024. Some information about Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance examination is it will be conducted of 2 hours and the total number of questions asked in the exam is 100 and each question carries 1 mark that means question paper is for 100 marks. There will be multiple choice questions in the exam and the Navodaya Vidyalaya exam is conducted for English and Hindi Mediums. 

JNV Selection Test for admission to Class-VI in JNVs for the academic session 2024-25 will be held in On Saturday, the 10th April 2024 at 11.30 A.M in one phase for all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. The last date to submit online application is 15th December 2021.

Eligibility Criteria for JNVST 6th Class Application 2024

The Candidates applying to Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Test for 6th class has to follow instructions. The instructions given below are very important to apply JNVST 2024-25. The given points are also helpful to clear all your doubts according to entrance test of JNVST 2024. The application Process and complete information on exam paper like duration and marks are also given below.

  • Only the candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply
  • A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 01-05-2012 and after 30-07-2014 (Both days are inclusive). This will apply to candidates of all categories, including those who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) & Scheduled Tribe (ST).
  • The student who is applying in the Rural Quota has to studied and passed 3rd, 4th and 5th class from Government /Government aided recognized school.
  • The Student attending the Navodaya Entrance Test 2024 has to complete the 5th class 2023-24 in the Government /Government aided recognized school. Or „B‟ certificate competency course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.
  • The student has to complete the class 5 before September 5th 2024 is not eligible.
  • The student already attended the Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Test in previous years cannot apply this time i.e. to JNVST 6th class exam 2024 under any circumstances.

For Rural Candidates:  For the Rural Candidates there is a 75% reservation and remaining will be for students living in urban areas. The Rural Area Students who are Applying to Navodaya 6th class entrance test has to complete the 3,4 and 5 classes in recognized schools.
The Students who are studying under the schemes of SSA (Sarva Siksha Abhiyan) and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), they have to produce the rural status certificate which issued by District Magistrate/ Block Development Officer (BDO)/ Tehsildar.
For Urban Candidates: Candidates who belongs to Urban Areas and School also located in Urban Areas, he/she should be considered as Urban Areas Candidates and has done the Classes III, IV and V from an affiliated school.

Documents Submission after Selection in Navodaya 6th Entrance Test 2024

The Students who are selected in Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Test 2024 Conducted by JNVST Board are given below

  • Residence Certificate in prescribed Performa in case of NIOS study only
  • Date of Birth Certificate
  • Proofs for eligibility as per the conditions of NVS.
  • For candidates seeking admission under the rural quota, the parents will also have to submit a certificate to the effect that the child had studied in an Institution located in a notified rural area
  • Other required documents

JNVST 2024: 6th Class-Eligibility Conditions

For All Candidates

  1.   Only candidates from the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission. However, in the district where the JNV is opened and is bifurcated at a later date, the old boundaries of the district are considered for the purpose of eligibility for admission in the JNVs. This applies to cases where new Vidyalaya has not yet been started in the newly bifurcated district .
  2.  Candidates appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the entire academic session in a Government/Government-Aided, other recognized school or ‘B’ Certificate Competency Course of National Institute of Open Schooling, in the same district where he/she seeks admission.
    A school will be deemed to have been recognized if it is declared so by the Government or by any other agency authorized on behalf of the Government. Schools, where students have obtained ‘B’ certificate under National Institute of Open Schooling should have accreditation of NIOS. A candidate must successfully complete Class-V. Actual admission in Class-VI will be subject to these conditions.
  3.  A candidate seeking admission must be within the age group of 9 to 13 years. This is applicable to candidates of all categories, including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes(SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs).
  4.   A candidate claiming admission from rural quota must have studied and passed Classes- III, IV and V from a Govt./Govt. Aided/ recognised school spending one full academic session each year in a school located in a rural area.
  5.   A candidate who has studied in a school located in an urban area even for a single day of a session in any of the Classes-III, IV or V, will be considered as an Urban area candidate. Urban areas are those, which are so notified in the 2011 Census or through a subsequent Government Notification. All other areas will be considered as rural.
  6.   A candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 30th September, is not eligible to apply.
  7.   No candidate is eligible to appear in the JNV Selection Test for a second time, under any circumstances.

Reservation for Rural, SC/ST, Girls & Disabled Children

  1.   At least 75% of the seats in a district are filled by candidates selected from rural areas and remaining seats are filled from urban areas of the district.
  2.  Reservation of seats in favour of children belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is provided in proportion to their population in the district concerned provided that in no district, such reservation will be less than the national average (15% for SC and 7.5% for ST) but subject to a maximum of 50% for both the categories (SC & ST) taken together. These reservations are interchangeable and over and above the candidates selected under open merit.
  3.  27% reservation shall be provided to the OBC students over and above the reservation of SCs and STs. The reservations to the OBC students shall be implemented as per Central List, as applicable from time to time. The OBC candidates not included in the Central list would apply as General Candidates.
  4.   Minimum One-third of the total seats are filled by girls.
  5.    There is a provision for reservation for ** Divyang children (i.e. Orthopedically Handicapped, Hearing Impaired and Visually Handicapped) as per GOI norms.

JNVST 2024 Class 6 Exam Pattern and Duration

The selection test will be of two-hour duration from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm and will have 3 sections with only objective-type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks.

Application Process for JNVST 6th Entrance Test Application Form 2024

  • The JNVST 6th Class Application Process is done online which is very simple. All documents required for the JNV Entrance test like  Eligibility, Residence, age, etc Verification will be done successfully through laid download procedure.
  • The eligible candidates along with his /her parent/guardians may approach Common Service Centre along with a duly filled-in certificate from the Head Master of School where the candidate is studying in Class V. The format of certificate may be downloaded from Samiti website www.nvshq.org the sample of format is enclosed.
  • The candidates from NIOS should `B’ certificate and residence should be in the same district where he / she is seeking admission.
  • The application for JNV Selection Test 2024 is being processed through Common Service Centre of Ministry of IT, Govt. of India. Common Service Centre has a wider range with 2.6 lakh centres across the country virtually covering every village.

Centre for Examination

Each candidate shall appear for the selection test at the examination center allotted to him/her as indicated on the Admit Card. No candidate is permitted to appear from any other center. No request for change of center will be entertained. No candidate can appear in the selection test without proper Admit Card.
