General Education Department announced First Term Onam Exams Time Table 2022. As per the Schedule by the Board, Onam Exams will start on 24th August 2022 and will end on 1st September for LP, UP and Hogh Schools in Kerala. For Classes from 1st Standard to 10th Standard, the Exams will Commence on the Same Day but the timing may differ. After the end of the 1st Tern Onam Exams, the Onam Holidays 2022 will Start. Onam Holidays will be from 2nd September to 11th September 2022 and the Schools will Reopens on 12th September.

In the new academic year, vowels à´…à´‚ (am), and à´…à´ƒ (aa) will also be included along with Malayalam alphabet in class one and two textbooks. Both of these letters were excluded from the alphabet since 2012. As the first edition of textbooks has been printed, the alphabet will be published in the third edition of class one and in second edition of class two textbooks. As a result, now the Malayalam alphabet has 51 letters including 15 vowels and the remaining consonants. The current practice for class one students is to learn the alphabet after understanding the concept and then recognizing the sentence.
