Meghalaya MTET 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Paper— I (Lower Primary)
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure), Regulations, 2002
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Graduation and 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
OR
A person who is pursuing any of the Teacher Education Courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.
Paper-II (Upper Primary)
Graduation and 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 – year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
OR
Graduation with at least 45% and 1 – year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE (recognition norms & procedure), regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Se.Ed
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)
OR
A person who is pursuing any of the Teacher Education Courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.
Relaxation up to 5 % in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled.
Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education recognized by the NCTE only shall be considered. However, in the case of D.Ed (Special Education) and B.Ed (Special Education), a course recognized by the RCI only shall be considered.

- Enter your personal details
- There is no need for candidates to submit documents along with the application form.
- After filling the application forms, candidates have to submit them to various centres in Megalaya.
- The centres where candidates should submit their application forms are West Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills DIET, East Garo Hills and North Garo Hills DIET, Resubelpara, South Garo Hills, West Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills, and East Jaintia Hils and others.

Meghalaya MTET 2023: Admit Card
The Admit card of Meghalaya MTET 2023 will be published after the completion of application process. It is a necessary document which will mention certain important details about the appearing candidate and the exam. In case any discrepancy arises in the details of the admit card or during downloading the admit card, students must contact the officials immediately.
Meghalaya MTET 2023: Result
The Result of Meghalaya MTET 2023 will be released after the General ability test, creative ability test and interview. The result will be published by online mode. To check the result online and download the scorecard, students have to enter their application number, roll number and date of birth.
The result of the entrance examination shall be announced on the official website of Meghalaya.
Meghalaya MTET 2023 Counselling
The counselling process of Meghalaya MTET 2023 will start after Release of Meghalaya MTET 2023 Results. To participate in the counselling process, candidates have to register online first. Only those candidates will be eligible for counselling rounds who will have common merit rank.
The agenda of Meghalaya counselling will be displayed on the official website of Meghalaya. For getting admission to Meghalaya courses, it is mandatory for the qualifying candidates to participate in the counselling.
At the time of counseling, document verification of the candidates will also be done.
