NPCIL has announced a total of 255 vacancies for the Stipendiary Trainee/Technician post. These positions are distributed across multiple trades, with the most openings for Plant Operators, followed by Electricians and Fitters.

NPCIL Recruitment 2026 Education Details

• Plant Operator: Candidates must have passed HSC (10+2) or ISC with a Science Stream, specifically including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, achieving a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Candidates should have also studied English as a subject at least at the SSC (10th) level.

• Other Trades (Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder): Applicants need an SSC (10th) qualification with a minimum of 50% marks in Science and Mathematics individually, alongside a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade. English must have been a subject at least at the SSC level.

Salary

• During the first year of training, candidates will receive a stipend of ₹20,000 per month.
• During the second year of training, the stipend increases to ₹22,000 per month.
• A one-time book allowance of ₹3,000 is also provided.
• Upon successful completion of the 24-month training, trainees may be absorbed as Technician/B in Pay Level-03 with a starting pay of ₹21,700.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• Maximum Age: 24 years.

Candidates must have been born between 29.06.2002 and 29.06.2008.

Age relaxations apply, providing a 3-year relaxation for OBC (NCL) candidates and a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Selection Process

• Stage 1: Online Examination – Preliminary Test (Screening).
• Stage 2: Online Examination – Advanced Test.
• Stage 3: Document Verification.

• Male applicants belonging to General (UR), EWS, and OBC categories must pay an application fee of ₹100.

• Female applicants, SC/ST candidates, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, DODPKIA, and current NPCIL employees are fully exempted from paying the fee.
