Vacancy Details

NTPC aims to fill a total of 52 Engineering Executive Trainee vacancies across two primary engineering disciplines. Specifically, there are 25 posts allocated for Mining Engineering and 27 posts dedicated to Civil Engineering, which are designated as a special recruitment drive for OBC backlog vacancies.

Important Notes:

• These current vacancies are calculated based on the existing roster position.
• The total number of projected vacancies may increase or decrease at the discretion of NTPC management.
• Vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) are reserved as per Government guidelines.

Education Details

• Candidates must hold a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or AMIE with not less than 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) from a recognised University or Institute.

• Applicants must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 and possess a valid score in the corresponding engineering discipline paper.

Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in the E1 Grade with a pay scale of ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000.

• Benefits: Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance (DA), Terminal Benefits, and other allowances under the cafeteria approach as per company rules.

• Training: Trainees will undergo one year of training before final absorption.

Bond Amount:

Based on the official notification, the Service Bond details for the NTPC Engineering Executive Trainee (EET) Recruitment 2025 are as follows:

• General, EWS, and OBC Categories: Candidates are required to execute a service bond of ₹5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only).

• SC, ST, and PwBD Categories: Candidates are required to execute a service bond of ₹2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand only).

Service Duration:

• Candidates must agree to serve the company for at least 3 years after the successful completion of the one-year training period.

Age Limit

The upper age limit to apply for the NTPC EET 2026 recruitment is 27 years as of May 29, 2026. 

• Relaxation:

  • OBC (NCL): 3 Years

  • SC/ST: 5 Years

  • PwBD: 10 Years (General/EWS), 13 Years (OBC), 15 Years (SC/ST)

Selection Process

The selection mechanism involves the following stages:

• GATE-2025 Score: Shortlisting of candidates will be done category-wise based on valid GATE-2025 marks in the relevant engineering paper.

• Document Verification: Validating all original academic, identity, and category certificates.

• Medical Examination: Final appointment depends on clearing the medical fitness standards set by NTPC.
