OSSC CHSL 2026 Education Details

  • Amin: Must have passed +2 in Arts, Science, or Commerce (or equivalent) and possess a certificate in basic computer skills.

  • Junior Fisheries Technical Assistant: Requires a Vocational +2 in Fisheries from a recognized CHSE/University and proficiency in swimming. If vocational candidates are unavailable, +2 Science candidates will be eligible.

  • Junior Forensic Science Laboratory Attendant: Candidates must have completed +2 Science from a recognized Board or Institution.

 

OSSC CHSL 2026 Salary

  • All currently listed posts fall under Group-C.

  • The pay scale is established at Level-3 (Cell-1) of the ORSP, 2017 rules.

  • Maximum Age: 42 Years.

OSSC CHSL 2026 Selection Process

The recruitment involves a three-stage selection process:

  1. Stage-I (Preliminary Examination): A single paper comprising 150 marks with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

  2. Stage-II (Main Written Examination): A technical paper of 200 marks relevant to the qualification prescribed for the specific post.

  3. Stage-III (Certificate Verification): Candidates shortlisted from the Main Written Examination will be called for document verification.

Application Fee

  • Candidates belonging to the General and SEBC categories must pay an examination fee of Rs. 500/-.
  • Candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories are exempt from paying the application fee.
  • The fee paid by unreserved category candidates is refundable, provided they actually appear in the preliminary recruitment examination.
