Pepperfry CEO Ambareesh Murty Dies of Cardiac Arrest

Ambareesh Murty, the Co-founder and CEO of Pepperfry died of cardiac arrest in Leh on the night of August 7. The 51-year-old was a bike enthusiast and was on a motorcycle trip from Mumbai to Leh.

The message of Ambareesh Murty’s passing away was shared by Pepperfry’s co-founder Ashish Shah. Murty established online furniture and home goods store Pepperfry along with Ashish Shah in 2012. Before that Murty had worked for eBay, Levi Strauss and Britannia Industries. Murty completed his BE from Delhi College of Engineering in 1994. Thereafter, he went to IIM Calcutta and passed out in 1996.
