AP SCERT Guidelines for SA2 Exams Marking Scheme 2019 | RC.No.2/B/AC/SCERT/20I8

Minutes of Meeting chaired by Commissioner of School Education on Activities of Assessment Cell, dt: 02.04.2019

All District Education Officers are requested to note that in an attempt to strengthen the Assessment framework in the state, the Department of School Education has envisaged certain reforms in Summative Assessment evaluation. To ensure quality Summative Assessment data, it has been decided that a Marking Scheme shall be followed by all schools while evaluating answer sheets. The rationale for releasing a Marking Scheme is as follows:

  • A Marking Scheme shall ensure that students are assessed fairly and uniformly across the state..
  • Furthermore, uniformity in evaluation will allow the Department of School Education to compare and assess the performance across districts better, and aid in policy making.

In view of the advantages mentioned above, the State Council of Educational Research and Training will release the Marking Scheme of SA-II (2018-19) to all District Educational Officers at 5 PM on the day of the conduct of the examination.
All the District Educational Officers in the state rut instructed to ensure that the Marking Scheme provided by SCERT is followed by teachers. and the same is to be communicated to all Headmasters by the 13th April 2019.
