TN TET Paper-1 Exam Date Announced: Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai has Announced the TN TET Exam Dates in a Notification. According to the Latest Note Released by the Board, TN TET Paper-1 Exam will be conducted through a Computer-based Test from 10th to 15th September 2022. Board also provides practice tests 15 Days before the Exam through its Website. In the Note, it has Also said that the TN TET Admit Card 2022 will be Released during the 2nd Week of August 2022.

TNTET 2022 Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment 2022 Notification: Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai is conducting TAMILNADU TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (TNTET) – 2022. The Application Process for TNTET 2022 has been Started on March 14th, 2022. The Application for TN TET 2022 would be accepted through online mode only. TN TET Eligibility Test consists of Paper I and Paper II for the year 2022 from the eligible candidates in Tamil Nadu.
Teachers Recruitment Board has been designated as the Nodal Agency for conducting Teacher Eligibility Test as per G.O.Ms.No.181, School Education (C2) Department, dated: 15.11.2011.

TNTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualifications to write TNTET Paper-I (for classes I-V).
1. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |
Or |
2. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. |
Or |
3. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). |
Or |
4. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). |
Or |
5. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |
Or |
6. Graduation with atleast 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,). |
Note:
- The candidates who have passed D.T.Ed., /D.Ele.Ed., from States other than Tamil Nadu should submit evaluation certificate for such qualifications.
Training to be undergone:
- A person who has acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,), from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V, provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within 2 years of such appointment as primary teacher.(As per NCTE notification dated 28.06.2018).
- A person with D.Ed., (Special Education) or B.Ed., (Special Education) qualification shall undergo, after appointment, an NCTE recognized 6 months special programme in Elementary Education;
- In case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed., (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered. (as per para 2 NCTE notification dated 23.08.2010).
Minimum Qualifications to write TNTET Paper-II (for classes VI-VIII)
1. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |
Or |
2. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). |
Or |
3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year      of    Bachelor   in     Education  (B.Ed.),     in     accordance with  the   NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations. |
Or |
4. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). |
Or |
5. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed. |
Or |
6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education). |
Or |
7. Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. programme, recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET. Moreover, as per existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11.02.2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET. |
Note:
- The candidates not having the prescribed qualifications shall not be eligible for appearing TNTET.
- A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification amended from time to time shall be eligible for appearing in the TET.
- The candidates should satisfy their eligibility before applying. They should be personally responsible in case they are not eligible to apply as per the eligibility criteria. It is to be noted that, if a candidate has been allowed to appear for TET, it does not imply that the eligibility of the candidate has been verified. It does not vest any right to appointment of the candidate after passing the examination.
TN TET Application Form 2022
Teachers Recruitment Board has Released Notification for TNTET 2022 on March 7th, 2022. The Application Process will be conducted from March 14th to April 13th, 2022. TNTET 2022 Exam Date is not yet announced by the Board.
How to Apply for TNTET 2022
- Candidates should apply only through online mode in the TRB website http://www.trb.tn.nic.in
- Use separate application for Paper-I and Paper-II.
- Candidates should ensure that they have their scanned recent color passport size photograph (JPG/JPEG /PNG format of size 20-60 kB) and signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format of size 10-30 kB) separately. The online application uploaded without the photograph and signature will be rejected. A valid e-mail id and Mobile Number are mandatory for registration and e-mail id should be kept active till the declaration of results.
- All the particulars mentioned in the online application including name of the candidate, paper applied, communal category, date of birth, address and all other fields will be considered as final. Candidates are requested to fill the online application form with utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained. Incomplete or defective applications shall be summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances.
- The online application can be submitted up to April 13th, 2022 till 05.00 PM after which the link gets disabled.

- Language II English will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
- Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of these subjects.
- The questions in the TET Paper I will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the State for Classes I – V but their difficulty level as well as linkages will be up to the Secondary Stage.

Note:

Examination Fees for TNTET 2022
- The Examination fee is Rs. 500/- for all the candidates except SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability. For SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability Candidates, the examination fee is Rs. 250/-. Since the examination fee is different for various categories, candidates are advised to enter the correct Community / Person with Disability category. Once the payment is made, it will not be refunded.
- Online payment to be made only through Payment Gateway. (Net banking/Credit Card / Debit Card)
- Offline mode of payment in any form such as Demand Draft / Postal order etc. will not be accepted.
- The candidates, who want to appear for both Paper-I and Paper-II, should pay separately for both.
