UCSL Vacancy Details

UDUPI CSL has announced 35 Workmen vacancies distributed among Pipe Fitter, Welder, Electrician, and Machinery Fitter trades. These positions are reserved strictly for candidates domiciled in Karnataka. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible to apply.

UCSL Jobs 2026 Education Details

• Pipe Fitter: Candidates must pass ITI (National Trade Certificate) in Fitter/Plumber/Sanitary Fitter or an equivalent NSQF-level course. A minimum of two years post-qualification experience in pipe fabrication, erection, and testing in a shipyard or engineering company is required.

• Welder: Candidates must pass ITI (National Trade Certificate) in Welder or an equivalent NSQF-level course. A minimum of two years post-qualification experience in gas cutting, welding, gouging, and grinding is required.

• Electrician: Candidates must pass ITI (National Trade Certificate) in Electrician/Wireman/Electronic Mechanical or an equivalent NSQF-level course. A minimum of two years post-qualification experience handling substations, HT/LT switchgears, and electrical layouts is required.

• Machinery Fitter: Candidates must pass ITI (National Trade Certificate) in Fitter/Diesel Mechanic/Machinist/Instrument Mechanic or an equivalent NSQF-level course. A minimum of two years post-qualification experience operating machine tools and maintaining pumps, generators, and compressors is required.

UCSL Vacancy 2026 Salary

• Selected candidates will be appointed in the W4 pay scale ranging from ₹17,000 to ₹61,020.

• The total monthly emoluments equal ₹29,997.

• The breakdown includes Basic pay of ₹17,000, DA of ₹9,197, HRA of ₹1,700, Fuel reimbursement of ₹1,600, and Washing Allowance of ₹500.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 30 years as of 17 July 2026, meaning candidates should be born on or after 18 July 1996.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates receive a 3-year age relaxation.
• SC/ST candidates receive a 5-year age relaxation.
• Ex-servicemen receive age relaxation as per Government of India guidelines, up to a maximum of 40 years.

Selection Process

• Phase I (Objective Test): An offline test worth 30 marks with a duration of 35 minutes. It covers General Knowledge (5 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (5 marks), and Trade-related topics (20 marks). There are no negative marks for incorrect answers.

• Phase II (Practical Test): A practical skills test in the relevant trade worth 70 marks.

Application Fee

• General, OBC, and EWS candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹400/-, plus bank charges.
• Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) applicants are exempted from paying the application fee.
• Payment must be made online via Debit card, Credit card, Internet Banking, Wallets, or UPI.

• Proceed to the link for online application, which consists of a Registration phase and a Submission phase.
• Submit the application online between 18 June 2026 and 17 July 2026.
• Ensure all entries are correctly filled before final submission, as no changes will be considered afterward.
• Save a soft copy or printout of the final application that shows the system-generated unique registration number for your reference.
• Do not send the online application printout, certificates, or application fee by post to UDUPI CSL.
