Age Limit

Applicants must fall within the age bracket of 21 to 30 years to be eligible for the Assistant position. Age relaxations on the upper age limit are provided to reserved categories in accordance with government norms:

• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years relaxation.

• Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years relaxation.

• Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in the defense forces + 3 years (subject to a maximum of 45 years).

UIIC Assistant Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The UIIC Assistant selection procedure comprises a two-tier process designed to assess candidates’ aptitude and linguistic capabilities.

• Online Examination: An objective-type computer-based test carrying 250 marks consisting of 200 questions. The exam duration is 120 minutes (2 hours), and there is a negative marking of 1/4th mark for every incorrect answer.

• Regional Language Test: Candidates who secure a position within the number of vacancies on the merit list will undergo a regional language qualifying test before final provisional selection.

• SC/ST/PwBD and Permanent Employees of UIIC: Rs. 250/- plus applicable GST.
