UKSSSC Scaler (Group ‘C’) Recruitment 2026: Notification Out for 200 Posts

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has issued an official recruitment notification (Advertisement No. 82/उ०अ० से०च०आ०/2026) for the post of Scaler (Group ‘C’) in the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation (Uttarakhand Van Vikas Nigam). A total of 200 vacancies have been announced for direct recruitment.

Note: Horizontal reservation is also provided across categories for Ex-Servicemen (10 posts), Dependents of Freedom Fighters (4 posts), Orphans (10 posts), Meritorious Sportspersons (8 posts), Uttarakhand Statehood Agitators/Dependents (20 posts), and Persons with Disabilities (8 posts) as per state rules.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Mandatory Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (12th Class) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Council in India or a recognized school situated in Uttarakhand with Science or Mathematics as a subject.

• Preferential Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years or hold an NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate.

2. Age Limit (As on 1st July 2026)

• Age Range: 18 to 28 years.

• Candidates must have been born between 2nd July 1998 and 1st July 2008.

• Upper Age Relaxation:

  • SC / ST / OBC candidates of Uttarakhand: 5 Years

  • PwD candidates of Uttarakhand: 10 Years

  • Dependents of Freedom Fighters (DFF): 5 Years

  • Ex-Servicemen: Deduction of military service duration plus 3 years from actual age.

3. Domicile & Registration Requirement

To be eligible for Group ‘C’ posts outside the UKPSC ambit, candidates must fulfill at least one of the following conditions:

• Must be registered in an Employment Exchange located in Uttarakhand prior to the last date of application.

• Must hold a Domicile / Permanent Residence Certificate of Uttarakhand.

• Must have passed both High School (10th) and Intermediate (12th) from educational institutions located in Uttarakhand.

Physical Standards & Efficiency Test

Selection requires qualifying both the Physical Standards Test (PST) and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) prior to the written exam.

*Hill area relaxation applies to Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Nepalis, Assamese, Ladakhis, Sikkimese, Bhutanese, Nagas, and candidates from Arunachal Pradesh, Lahaul & Spiti, and Meghalaya.

• Vision Standard: Distant vision defect must not exceed $\pm 4.00$ Diopters.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The recruitment process consists of two stages:

1. Stage 1: Physical Standards & Efficiency Test (PST / PET): Purely qualifying in nature.

2. Stage 2: Written Examination (Offline OMR-Based):

   • Total Marks: 100 Marks (100 Questions)

   • Duration: 2 Hours

   • Question Type: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) covering Intermediate Science/Math topics.

   • Negative Marking: $1/4$ (0.25) mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

   • Minimum Qualifying Score: 45% for General/OBC/EWS and 35% for SC/ST candidates.

3. Stage 3: Document Verification: Verification of educational credentials, caste/category, and domicile status.
