Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess a valid UPSSSC PET-2025 scorecard and fulfill the essential qualification requirements for their respective domain:
- Mandatory Requirement: Appearance in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) with a valid non-zero scorecard.
- Biology Domain: B.Sc. degree in Biology or Forensic Science with specialization in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Cell Biology, or Microbiology from a recognized university or institute.
- Physics Domain: B.Sc. degree in Physics or Forensic Science with specialization in Physics, Nuclear Science, Instrumentation, or Electronics; OR B.Tech. in Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Chemistry Domain: B.Sc. degree in Chemistry or Forensic Science with specialization in Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
- Computer Science Domain: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR an ‘A’ Level Diploma from NIELIT.
Preferential Qualification: Candidates holding an M.Sc. in the relevant discipline (for Scientific Assistant), a higher computer qualification, 2 years of service in the Territorial Army, or an NCC ‘B’ Certificate will receive preference.

Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years (as on 1st July 2026).
- Maximum Age: 40 years.

Selection Process
The selection process for the UPSSSC FSL Recruitment comprises the following stages:
- Shortlisting based on PET-2025: Applicants will be shortlisted for the main written examination based on their normalized PET-2025 score (15 times the category-wise advertised vacancies).
- Written Main Exam: A single paper containing 100 multiple-choice questions (100 marks) with a duration of 2 hours (120 minutes). Negative marking of 25% (1/4th mark) applies to incorrect answers.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates passing the written test will undergo document verification prior to final selection.
