UPSSSC Livestock Extension Officer Vacancy Details

The UPSSSC has announced a total of 1251 vacancies for the Livestock Extension Officer post. Out of these, 1248 are regular vacancies and 3 are under special selection. The category-wise distribution is detailed below to help candidates understand the reservation quotas.

(Note: Horizontal reservations for dependents of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, persons with benchmark disabilities, women, and outstanding sportspersons are also applicable as per government norms.)

Education Details

• Essential Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination with the Biology group or an equivalent 10+2 examination recognized by the government.
• Diploma: Applicants must hold a two-year diploma in Livestock Extension from a recognized Veterinary University or College established by law.
• Language Proficiency: Working knowledge of the Hindi language in the Devanagari script is mandatory.
• PET Requirement: Candidates must have appeared in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and possess a valid scorecard issued by the commission. Candidates with a zero or negative normalized score in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the main examination.

Salary

• Pay Level: Level-5.
• Pay Scale: Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years as of July 1, 2026.
• Maximum Age: 40 years as of July 1, 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxations are applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, and other specific categories as per Uttar Pradesh government rules.

Selection Process

• PET-2025 Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Written Examination based on their normalized scores from the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025). The commission will invite approximately 15 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) for the main exam.
• Main Written Examination: The final selection will be determined entirely by performance in the written test. The exam consists of 100 objective multiple-choice questions for 100 marks, to be completed in 2 hours. A negative marking of 25% (1/4th mark) applies to each incorrect answer.

Application Fee

• Online Processing Fee: All categories (General, OBC, SC, ST, PwBD, etc.) are required to pay a nominal online processing fee of Rs. 25/- at the time of application registration.
• Main Examination Fee: Shortlisted candidates will be required to pay a separate Main Examination fee at a later date, before downloading the admit card for the written test.

3. Authenticate your login using your PET-2025 Registration Number via an OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email.
