WBCHSE West Bengal HS 3rd Sem Exam Routine 2027 (Revised) Paper Keys, Guidelines

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released the revised examination schedule and operational guidelines for the Higher Secondary Semester-III Examination, 2027. Under the restructured National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 semester pattern, Class 12 candidates will appear for objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) evaluated on OMR sheets. Due to the assembly bye-elections in Rejinagar and Nandigram constituencies as well as the Karam Puja festival, the Council partially revised the timetable under Notification Nos. L/PR/348/2026 and L/PR/356/2026. Consequently, the Semester-III examinations will run from September 21, 2026, to October 14, 2026.

• The Semester-III examination comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), and students must record their responses on designated OMR answer sheets.

• Candidates must use only black or blue ink ballpoint pens to mark bubbles and write required information on the OMR sheet. Pencils, gel pens, and fountain pens are prohibited.

• Shift Timings & Durations:

  • Most academic subjects have a standard duration of 1 hour 30 minutes, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

  • Visual Arts and Music are allocated 1 hour, running from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.

  • All 16 Vocational subjects have been rescheduled to October 13, 2026 (2nd Half), conducted from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (1 hour duration).

• Examinees must reach their allotted examination centers at least 1 hour in advance (by 10:00 AM) and occupy their desks 15 minutes before testing begins.

• Students must carry their valid admit card (countersigned by their Head of Institution) alongside their Council Registration Certificate.

• Candidates may carry transparent instrument boxes, transparent water bottles, transparent clipboards, erasers, and pencils for rough work on the question paper. Any form of electronic device—such as cell phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, health bands, and calculators—is strictly prohibited inside the center.
