Selection Criteria for PHHC Clerk
The selection process for the Clerk post in the subordinate courts of Punjab and Haryana is structured across three key stages:
Written Examination (CBT): The first stage is a competitive online written test designed to assess the candidates’ knowledge and skills across core academic subjects.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for the CPT, which tests essential computer application skills including word processing and spread sheets. This stage is usually qualifying in nature.
Typing Test: This is a crucial component where candidates are evaluated on their English typing speed, with a minimum required speed of 30 w.p.m. in the subordinate courts of Haryana, and similar requirements for other regions.

NOTE:
- For every wrong answer, 1/4th mark would be deducted. The question(s) not attempted will receive no credit or discredit.
- 33% in each subject but no candidate shall be considered to have qualified the Test unless he/ she obtains 40% marks in the aggregate of both subjects.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
- Part-I :- Candidates will have to qualify the Spread Sheet Test which is of 10 marks and of 10 minutes duration by securing 40% or more i.e. 4 or more marks.
- Part-II :-Candidates will have to qualify Computer Typing Test in English at the speed of 30 W.P.M. Typing Speed will be calculated by using the following formula ;

Note – Part-II i.e. Word Processing Test will be checked only of those candidates who secured 4 or more marks in Spread Sheet Test (Part-I).
