Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 50 years across all advertised posts as on the closing date of application submission.
- Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules.
2. Key Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 10th Standard / 10+2 from a recognized board or institution / ITI equivalent, multi-skilling ability, and basic knowledge of computer applications.
- Junior Clerk: 10+2 from a recognized board or institution with a typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi, and knowledge of computer applications.
- Stenographer Gr. II: 10+2 or equivalent with 80 wpm in shorthand and good typing speed in English/Hindi, plus knowledge in computer applications.
- Messenger Cum Rider & Van Driver: 10th or 10+2 pass with a valid driving license, knowledge of minor automobile repairs/motor mechanics, and 3 years of driving experience.
- Proof Reader Cum General Assistant: Graduate degree with Hindi/English as a subject, proofreading ability in English/Hindi, and basic computer knowledge.
- Publication Assistant & Technical Assistant: Graduation with a Diploma in Book Publishing/Printing or 5 years of experience in a printing press/publishing house.
- Senior Library & Information Assistant: Bachelor in Library Science (B.Lib) with 5 years of library experience and computer knowledge.
- Junior Translation Officer: Master’s degree in Hindi/English (or Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English plus a diploma in translation) and 3 years of literary translation experience.
- Assistant Editor: Post Graduate degree in a language/literature recognized by the Akademi and 5 years of experience in copy editing literary manuscripts.
- Deputy Secretary (General-Admin.): Master’s degree in Language or MBA/Public Administration with at least 55% marks and 7 years of administrative experience at Pay Level 10 or above.
Selection Process & Exam Scheme
The selection methodology depends on the pay level of the post:
- Level-10 & Level-11 Posts (Deputy Secretary, Assistant Editor): Selection is based directly on personal interviews following application scrutiny.
- Level-1 to Level-6 Posts: Candidates must appear for a 2-hour Written Examination (100 Marks):
- Part-I (Objective / MCQs): 50–60 Marks covering General Studies/General Knowledge, Hindi Grammar, English Grammar, Computer, and Quantitative Aptitude (No negative marking).
- Part-II (Descriptive): 40–50 Marks covering domain-specific subject areas, translation, essay, letter writing, comprehension, or notice drafting.
- Skill / Practical Test: Qualifying skill tests will be conducted for Stenographer Gr. II (Stenography test at 80 wpm), Junior Clerk (Typing test: 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi), and Drivers/Riders (Driving test).
