APSSB NMTE 2026 Education Details

  • Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM): Candidates must possess a certificate of a 2-year ANM course from an INC-recognized institution after passing Class XII. They must also be registered under APNC as a Registered ANM (RANM).

  • Driver Posts (LMV/HMV/Constables): Candidates applying for driving-related posts (Codes 31/26 to 35/26) must hold a valid Driving License, which will be verified during the application, driving test, and document verification stages. A 3-year experience requirement applies to Driver (LMV) and Driver (HMV) posts, determined from the date of license issuance.

APSSB NMTE 2026 Age Limit

  • The standard age limit for the majority of posts is between 18 to 35 years.

  • Age Relaxations: The upper age limit is relaxable by up to 05 years for APST candidates and up to 15 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). Departmental In-Service candidates and Ex-Servicemen are also eligible for specific age relaxations as per government rules.

Selection Process

The examination scheme involves multiple stages depending on the post applied for:

  • Stage-I (Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions): Mandatory for all posts. The 200-mark test comprises a Common Paper (100 marks) and a Technical Paper (100 marks).

  • Stage-II (PST and PET): Required for Head Constable Driver and Constable MT Driver posts.

  • Stage-III (Driving Test): Required for Head Constable Driver, Driver (LMV), and Driver (HMV).

  • Stage-IV (Competency Test): Specific practical assessment for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM).

  • Stage-V (Medical Fitness Test): Conducted for all police and driver constable positions.
