CTET Exam Schedule

Candidates preparing for the CTET September 2026 cycle were originally gearing up to appear for the exam on September 6, 2026. However, following a directive from the Supreme Court of India, the CBSE was required to grant another opportunity to eligible candidates who had missed the original application deadline. As a result, the online application window was briefly reopened between late August and September 1, 2026.

The CTET exam is divided into two distinct papers. Paper I is designed for candidates who wish to teach Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Stage), while Paper II is for those aiming to teach Classes 6 to 8 (Elementary Stage). Candidates aiming to teach both levels are required to appear for both shifts.
The examination on October 9, 2026, will be held in two separate shifts. Candidates are strictly advised to reach their respective exam centers well before the reporting time to clear the biometric and security checks smoothly.
