ANGRAU B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture & B.Tech Food Technology Counselling 2026-27 Notification

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Guntur, has released the official admission notification and information brochures for B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and B.Tech. (Food Technology) courses under the Bi.P.C Stream for the academic year 2026-27.

This admission notification covers ANGRAU Constituent (Government) Colleges, ANGRAU Affiliated Agricultural Colleges, and Government Quota (Convenor Quota) seats in Private Universities across Andhra Pradesh.

Participating Colleges & Seat Intake

Admissions are categorized into three institution types:

1. ANGRAU Constituent Colleges (Government)

• B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture Seats: 980 Seats (Includes 20% ICAR quota)

Note: ANGRAU conducts admissions only for the Government/Convenor Quota seats in Private Universities as per G.O. Ms No. 16 dated 19-04-2022. An additional 10% supernumerary seats are allocated under the EWS category.

Eligibility Criteria & Age Limits

Educational Qualification:

• Must have passed two-year Intermediate Examination (Bi.P.C. / M.Bi.P.C) from the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P., or equivalent with Physical Sciences and Biological/Natural Sciences.

• OR Diploma holders in Agriculture / Seed Technology / Organic Farming from ANGRAU.

Age Limit (As on 31st December 2026):

• General Candidates: Minimum 17 years to Maximum 22 years (Born between 01-Jan-2005 and 31-Dec-2009).

• SC & ST Candidates: Upper age limit relaxed up to 25 years (Born between 01-Jan-2002 and 31-Dec-2009).

• Physically Challenged (PH): Upper age limit relaxed up to 27 years (Born between 01-Jan-2000 and 31-Dec-2009).

Farmers’ Quota (40% Seat Reservation)

40% of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to rural agricultural families.

Eligibility for Farmers’ Quota:

1. Candidate or parents must own a minimum of 1 acre of agricultural land (Land in the name of grandparents or guardians is not acceptable).

2. The candidate must have studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas between 1st Class and Intermediate.

Required Forms to Claim Farmers’ Quota:

• Form-I: Agricultural Land Holding Certificate certified by Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) / Tahsildar.

• Form-II: Non-Municipal Area Study Certificate certified by the Headmaster(s) of the respective school(s).

• Land Evidence: Latest Adangal / 1B record from Meebhoomi.

• Study Certificates: School study certificates for Non-Municipal area proof.

Reservation Policy

• Backward Classes (BC): 29% (BC-A: 7%, BC-B: 10%, BC-C: 1%, BC-D: 7%, BC-E: 4%)

• Scheduled Castes (SC Sub-classification): 15% (SC-I: 1%, SC-II: 6.5%, SC-III: 7.5% as per Ordinance No.2/2025)

• Scheduled Tribes (ST): 6%

• Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10% (Supernumerary seats)

• Women Reservation: 33.33% horizontal reservation across all categories

• Special Categories (9%):

  • Defence Personnel (CAP): 2%

  • National Cadet Corps (NCC): 1%

  • Physically Challenged (PH): 5%

  • Games & Sports: 0.5%

  • Scouts and Guides: 0.5%

• Local Area Allocation: 85% of seats are reserved for local candidates of Andhra University (AU) and Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) regions in a 65.62 : 34.38 ratio. The remaining 15% seats are open to local/non-local candidates.

Seat Cancellation Fee Policy

• Cancellation Before Closure of Admissions: Processing fee of ₹5,350/- will be deducted, and the remaining fee will be refunded.

• Cancellation After Closure of Admissions: All fees paid will be forfeited (except refundable deposits). In addition, candidate must pay seat cancellation charges:

  • General Candidates: ₹5,350/-

  • SC / ST / PH Candidates: ₹2,670/-

Required Original Certificates for Document Verification

At the time of college reporting, candidates must submit the following original certificates:

1. AP EAPCET 2026 Hall Ticket & Rank Card

2. Intermediate Marks Memo / Pass Certificate

3. SSC / Equivalent Birth Certificate

4. Community Certificate (BC/SC/ST) OR Latest EWS Certificate (Valid for 2025-26)

5. Study Certificates (Class 6th to Intermediate)

6. Transfer Certificate (TC)

7. Residence Certificate (if applicable)

8. For Farmers’ Quota: Duly signed Form-I, Form-II, Meebhoomi Adangal/1B, and Non-Municipal Study Certificates

9. For Special Categories: CAP, NCC, PH, Sports & Games, or Scouts & Guides certificates issued by authorized state bodies
