ANGRAU Agriculture Polytechnic Admission 2026-27

ANGRAU Polytechnic Diploma Admission 2026-27: Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Guntur (ANGRAU) has released a notification for various Diploma Courses for the Academic Year 2026-27. The notification and online application are available on the official website – angrau.ac.in. The selection of course candidates will be based on the Marks secured in the 10th Class Exams.

About ANGRAU

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University is a pioneering university in the country serving the farmers of the state of AP for the last five decades and imparting quality education in Agriculture. ANGRAU established the first ever Agricultural Polytechnic in the combined state of AP in 1989 at RARS, Palem, with an aim to train rural youth at the grassroots level to cater to the needs of Agriculture and allied sectors.

At present, ANGRAU has 17 constituent and 58 affiliated polytechnics offering Diploma programmes in Agriculture, Organic farming, seed technology, and Agricultural Engineering in different districts of AP.

ANGRAU Diploma Admission Important Dates

AP AGRI POLYCET 2026: ANGRAU Diploma Eligibility

Admission to new Diploma Courses will be based on SSC marks. Candidates must go through the eligibility requirements before completing the online application form for 2026-27 admissions.

Academic Qualification

Candidate should have passed SSC Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P./T.S such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), A.P, Open School Society (APOSS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS).

Candidates who appeared for the SSC or equivalent examination held in March/May 2026, and whose results are yet to be declared, can also apply.

Candidates who have passed the intermediate or are pursuing higher studies are not eligible for admission into diploma courses offered by ANGRAU.

Note: ICSE students need to enter the average of three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) for science and two subjects (History & Civics, Geography) for social studies while entering the subject-wise marks.

ANGRAU Diploma Admission: Age limit

Candidates who wish to seek admission into these courses shall have to complete 15 years of age as on 31-08-2026 with an upper age limit of 22 years (Born in between 31.08.2002 and 31.08.2009).

Selection Process

• Percent of marks/ Total marks obtained in SSC or its equivalent examination will be considered in the order of merit for Seat allotment.
• In case of tie, the marks/grade point obtained first in Science and later Mathematics and Social respectively will be taken into consideration for tie breaking.
• In case if tie still continues, the age of the candidates will be taken into consideration and the older candidates will be given preference.

Application and Counseling Fee

• Online registration and counseling fee for candidates belong to SC/ST and differently abled (PH) category is Rs.400.00 (Four hundred only) and for all other candidates Rs.800.00 (Rupees eight hundred only).
• The applicant has to select Rupay Debit Card/ UPI/ Debit Card /Credit Card (Visa /Master Card)/Internet Banking option to pay the fee and follow the online instruction to complete payment of fee.
• Processing charges of payment gateway as applicable are chargeable from the candidate (in addition to exam fee) only.
• Once payment made, it cannot be refunded under any circumstances, hence applicant should go through the information bulletin carefully regarding eligibility criteria before proceeding to the payment.

ANGRAU Diploma Admission: Application Procedure

• Candidates should fill the online application carefully and check details such as local area/ municipal/ non municipal area, reservation/ special categories etc. and submit the application online.
• It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she fulfills the specified eligibility before applying/ filling application form.
•  No corrections will be permitted once the application form is submitted.
•  Please note that University/ Colleges will NOT be held responsible for denial of admission to non-eligible candidates.
• Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted and will lead to the cancellation of his/her seat.
• The government decided to link the scholarship applications with the Aadhar number to affect the cash transaction scheme. For this every student must furnish the Aadhar number vide Government memo No. 16035/Sw. Edn.2/2012-4 dt. 29.12.2012.
• Admissions to polytechnics for the academic year 2026-27 shall be based on Web Counseling. Where candidates can opt for any course at any polytechnic in order of priority, and the allotment shall be made for his/her best preferred choice based on his/her merit and other admission rules in vogue.
• Candidates have to prepare a set of preferred colleges – course combinations (Web options) they wish to join in consultation with their parents, teachers, and friends, and after thorough inquiry about the polytechnics in different districts.
• The order of the options must be entered by the candidate carefully. A printout of the options entered shall be kept as a record for reference.
• Candidates should download the allotment order and report at the allotted college within the prescribed time.
• A candidate who fails to turn up at the allotted college within the stipulated time and does not pay the prescribed fee will have no claim on admission into diploma programs offered by ANGRAU.
•  The selection of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/BC/CAP/PH/ NCC/ Sports is subject to clearance to be given by the respective departments during the counseling.
•  Registrar, ANGRAU is not responsible for the delay in clearance in respect of doubtful Caste/ CAP/PH/ NCC/ Sports cases.
•  Any disputes concerning admissions, if any, shall be within the jurisdiction of the Hon’ble A.P. High Court.
