AP EdCET Syllabus 2024 PDF: Subject wise AP EdCET Syllabus

A Common Entrance Test, designated as the Education Common Entrance Test (APEdCET), will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission into B.Ed. Regular Course and B.Ed. Special Education in the University /Government/ Aided and /Private Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh. The AP EdCET Syllabus is Divided subject-wise as per the Methodology the candidate Selects. 

AP EdCET Qualifying Marks

The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for all candidates (except SC/ST) are 37 out of the total marks (i.e., 25%). There will be no qualifying marks for ranking candidates from SC/ST communities. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies.

AP EDCET Exam Scheme

The common entrance test will be an objective (multiple-choice) examination.

The candidate must answer 150 questions in two hours.

The question paper will be in English and Telugu except for English methodology. However, candidates opting to write the Entrance Test in Urdu medium will be provided with English / Urdu paper.

AP EdCET 2024 Syllabus

Following is the detailed EdCET Syllabus for Each Subject. Syllabus for the subjects under Part-A, Part-B and Part-C will cover the concerned Degree Subjects.

  • Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general knowledge of the environment around him and its application to society.
  • Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific outlook, as is expected of an educated person.
  • The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring Countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Ecology, Economics, General Policy and Scientific Research.
  • Teaching requires certain characteristics like ability to communicate, ability to deal with Children, ability to recognize individual differences etc., apart from analytical thinking and general intelligence. One who has these characteristics will be able to become a good teacher after training. Questions relating to these aspects will be included to test one’s teaching aptitude.
