The Government of Andhra Pradesh has officially announced the notification for the Online Admissions Module for Degree Colleges (OAMDC) for the academic year 2026-27. This centralized web-based process ensures a fair, transparent, and merit-based admission into various undergraduate courses across the state. గత ఏడాది లెక్కల ప్రకారం, రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న 1200 కాలేజీల్లో 3,82,038 సీట్లు అందుబాటులో ఉండగా… ప్రభుత్వ కాలేజీల్లో 70,005 సీట్లు, ప్రైవేట్ కాలేజీల్లో 2,81,940 సీట్లు , ప్రైవేటు యూనివర్సిటీల్లో 1,461 సీట్లు ఉన్నాయి.

Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, or any other equivalent examination recognized by the board with the prescribed minimum qualifying percentage.
- Local / Non-Local Status: Candidates must satisfy the local and non-local regulations as stipulated by the Government of Andhra Pradesh (85% reserved for local AU/SVU candidates, and 15% unreserved quota).
- Merit-Based Allotment: Mere registration and qualifying in the Intermediate examination does not guarantee a seat; seat allotment is strictly determined by academic merit, course-wise choices, and reservation category norms.

- SC / ST Candidates: Rs. 200/-
Note on Payment Issues: If the registration fee amount is deducted due to network issues but not updated in the portal, the debited amount will be remitted back to the source bank account within 7 working days. If not resolved, candidates may visit the nearest Help Line Centre (HLC).
Step-by-Step Registration & Web Options Process
- Online Application Submission:
- Visit the official portal https://cap.apcfss.in.
- Complete the initial registration using an active mobile number and identity authentication.
- Fill in personal, educational, and communication details.
- Alternatively, students may physically submit individual applications at their chosen degree college, where the college authority registers it on the CAP portal on their behalf.
- Fee Payment & Document Upload: Pay the requisite category processing fee and upload necessary certificates in PDF format.
- Certificate Verification:
- Candidates whose academic data matches state database web services are approved online without having to visit an HLC.
- Candidates needing data corrections or whose upload is flagged will receive an SMS alert to re-upload or can visit any of the 27 designated Help Line Centres across the state.
- Exercising Web Options (College & Course Selection):
- Log in using your Application Number, Date of Birth, and OTP during the active window (August 22 – August 27, 2026).
- Select your preferred Degree Colleges, districts, and UG courses in priority order.
- Candidates are advised to select maximum choices to enhance allotment probability.
- Modifying Web Options: If any adjustments in priority order are required, log in on August 28, 2026, to change options.
- Seat Allotment & College Reporting: Check allotment status on September 02, 2026, download the allotment order, and complete physical reporting at the allocated college between September 03 and September 07, 2026.

What is OAMDC?
OAMDC facilitates online admissions into General Undergraduate Programmes such as B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., BBA, B.Voc., BCA, BPA, BMS, BHM, BFA, and 5-year integrated PG courses (excluding those covered by other CETs).
The eligible candidates who passed out from the Board of Intermediate, AP, or other recognized Boards are eligible to participate in web counselling for the seats available in Undergraduate Programmes in Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Management, Computer Applications, and Social Work, etc., leading to the award of B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., BBA., B.Voc, B.F.A, 5-year integrated PG programs with Intermediate qualification (with the exception of Engineering and Pharmacy streams) etc, in Government Degree Colleges, Government Autonomous Degree Colleges, Private Aided Degree Colleges, Private Unaided Degree Colleges, Private Autonomous Degree Colleges (Aided and Unaided) in the State of Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2026-27. Candidates are informed that the online admission process consists of registration, payment of processing fees, and verification of pending certificates.
The process is open to candidates seeking admission into Government, Private Aided, Private Unaided, Autonomous, University Constituent Colleges, and Private Universities (under the convenor quota) across Andhra Pradesh.
AP Degree Admission 2026-27: Reservation Criteria
Before applying, ensure you meet the fundamental requirements set by the Commissionerate of Higher Education:
Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate or an equivalent examination with an eligible pass percentage from a recognized board.
Local vs. Non-Local Status: 85% of the seats in each course are reserved exclusively for local candidates of Andhra Pradesh (AU and SVU areas).
Unreserved Seats: The remaining 15% of seats are open to both local and non-local candidates, subject to fulfilling specific residency requirements (such as 10 years of state residence).
Merit-Based Allotment: Registration and web options exercise do not guarantee a seat; allotments are based purely on merit and the prevailing rule of reservation.
Registration and Application Process
For the 2026-27 academic year, candidates have the flexibility to apply through two different modes:
Online Direct Application
Students can log into the Common Admissions Portal (CAP) at cap.apcfss.in to directly submit their application and select their college and course preferences.
Aadhaar-based authentication is strictly mandatory for this step.
Ensure you use an Aadhaar-linked mobile number to seamlessly receive OTPs, your User Name, and Password.
Physical Submission
Candidates can visit their preferred Degree College and submit an individual physical application directly to the Principal at the college premises.
The college administration will enter the application details into the CAP on the student’s behalf and provide an official acknowledgement.
If you apply both physically at a college and online via CAP, the preferences marked in your physical application will be prioritized as your first choice during seat allotment.

ఈ ఏడాది కొత్తగా సింగిల్ మేజర్ సబ్జెక్టు విధానం తీసుకొచ్చారు. నాలుగేళ్ల డిగ్రీలో సింగిల్ మేజర్, మైనర్ సబ్జెక్టులను చదవాల్సి ఉంటుంది. కొత్త విధానాన్ని బీఎస్సీతో పాటు బీఏ, బీకామ్ డిగ్రీలో అమలు చేయనున్నారు.
కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకువచ్చిన జాతీయ విద్యా విధానం 2020 ద్వారా ఈ సంస్కరణలు రాష్ట్రంలో అమలు చేస్తున్నారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా డిగ్రీ విద్యలో సింగిల్ సబ్జెక్టు మేజర్గా కొత్త కరిక్యులమ్ను ప్రవేశపెడుతోంది. ఏదైనా ఒక సబ్జెక్ట్లో విద్యార్థులు సంపూర్ణ నైపుణ్యాలను సాధించే దిశగా కరిక్యులమ్ను సిద్ధం చేసారు.
డిగ్రీలో మేజర్ సబ్జెక్టుతో పాటు కచ్చితంగా ఒక మైనర్ సబ్జెక్టు చదవాలి. ఉదాహరణకు ఒక సైన్స్ విద్యార్థి మైనర్ సబ్జెక్టుగా ఆర్థిక శాస్త్రం, చరిత్ర, సంగీతం, యోగా, డేటాసైన్స్, మార్కెటింగ్.. ఇలా ఇతర సబ్జెక్టులను ఎంపిక చేసుకోవచ్చు. ఆర్ట్స్ విద్యార్థులు మైనర్లో (ఇంటర్మీడియట్ కోర్సుల ఆధారంగా) నచ్చిన సబ్జెక్టు తీసుకోవచ్చు.
రాష్ట్రంలో ఇప్పటికే నాలుగేళ్ల ఆనర్స్ డిగ్రీని ప్రవేశపెట్టారు. యూజీసీ ఫ్రేమ్ వర్క్స్ ప్రకారం ఆనర్స్ డిగ్రీని రెండు విధాలుగా విభజించారు. మూడేళ్ల డిగ్రీలో 75 శాతం మార్కులు సాధించినవారు రీసెర్చ్ ఆనర్స్ డిగ్రీ కోర్సులో చేరవచ్చు. ఇది పూర్తి చేసిన వారు పీజీ లేకుండా పీహెచ్డీ కోర్సుకు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చన్నారు. మూడేళ్ల కోర్సులో ఉత్తీర్ణులైతే జనరల్ ఆనర్స్ కోర్సును అభ్యసించవచ్చు. ఇది పూర్తిచేసిన వారు పోస్టు గ్రాడ్యుయేషన్ రెండో ఏడాదిలో చేరవచ్చన్నారు.
Instructions to the Student who allotted College
- The candidate shall download the allotment order from oamdc.ap.gov.in.
- The candidate shall report in person at the allotted college.
- The candidate shall take two printouts of the allotment order and two sets of photocopies of all certificates, and report to the allotted College. The candidate has to submit the allotment order and obtain acknowledgement on the 3rd copy of the allotment order from the College which is to be retained with the candidate. At the time of reporting, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidate for confirmation.
- If the candidate does not report at the allotted college, the provisional allotment shall stand cancelled and the allotted seat will be treated as a vacancy for spot admission and the candidate will not have any claim on the seat allotted.
- If the academic and other credentials verified are found false at a later date, the candidate’s admission shall be cancelled and is liable for criminal prosecution.
- The candidate who is not eligible for fee reimbursement shall pay the total fee after the final phase of counselling.
