The AP Special TET 2026 is a dedicated examination for existing in-service teachers to upgrade their eligibility status in line with state and national educational norms. The exam is conducted in two daily shifts: Session I (9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon) and Session II (2:30 PM to 5:00 PM). The initial response sheets and keys will be released in phases for all papers and subject combinations immediately after the testing window concludes.

AP Special TET Qualifying Criteria

To qualify the AP Special TET, candidates must meet the minimum percentage criteria set by the School Education Department. There is no negative marking, and candidates earn one mark for every correct response. The standard qualifying criteria are:

• OC (Open Category): 60% and above

• BC (Backward Classes): 50% and above

• SC / ST / Differently Abled (PH): 40% and above

Objection Process

The examination authorities provide a transparent grievance redressal system. If candidates identify an incorrect answer in the preliminary master key, they can submit a formal challenge.

• Objection Dates: The online window to raise objections will remain open from October 25 to November 1, 2026.

• Submission Method: Objections must be submitted online exclusively through the APTET official portal.

• Evidence: Candidates must upload a valid explanation or authoritative proof (like standard academic textbooks) to back their claims.

• Final Key: After reviewing all valid challenges, the subject expert committee will publish the AP Special TET Final Answer Key on November 10, 2026.

6. Select your respective examination paper and shift.
