Kerala Technical School THSLC Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Details

• Educational Qualification: Applicants must have successfully completed Class 7 and must be academically eligible for admission into Class 8.

• Age Limit: Candidates must not have completed 16 years of age as of June 1, 2026.

• Physical Fitness: Students must possess the adequate physical fitness required to participate in continuous workshop training and demonstrate an active aptitude for technical trades.

Specialization

The comprehensive THSLC curriculum spans three consecutive years, encompassing Class 8, 9, and 10. The specialization framework operates as follows:

• Class 8 (Foundation): Students are taught standard general education subjects (English, Malayalam, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Social Science, and Information Technology) alongside an introductory foundational technical training program. An “Enrich your English” course is also incorporated to enhance language proficiency.

• Class 9 and 10 (Trade Selection): Specialized technical trade training officially begins in Class 9. Students are allocated distinct technical trades based on their Class 8 annual examination marks, personal interest, and the availability of specific workshop facilities at their respective institution.

• Allocation Policy: Each specific trade requires a minimum enrollment of 15 students; trades may be internally reallocated or adjusted if the required student strength is not met within an institution.

Application Fee

• Online Application Fee: The online application submission process is completely free of cost for all candidates.

• Fees at the Time of Admission: If successfully selected, students are required to pay the following nominal amounts upon school admission:

  • Admission Fee: Rs. 60/- (Paid in the first year only)

  • Caution Deposit: Rs. 50/- (Paid in the first year only)

  • Exam Fee: Rs. 50/- (Annual)

  • Association/Arts Fee: Rs. 30/- (Annual)
