Educational Qualification

The required qualifications must have been passed as on the reckoning date of 30-11-2025.

• Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Code 101) & Boiler (Code 103): 3 years B.Sc in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry.

• Trade Apprentice (Fitter) (Code 102): Matric with ITI in Fitter Trade of minimum 2 years duration with a Pass class, recognized by NCVET/SCVT.

• Technician Apprentice (Codes 104 to 107): 3 years Diploma in the respective Engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation).

• Trade Apprentice – Secretarial Assistant (Code 108): 3 years B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.

• Trade Apprentice – Accountant (Code 109): 3 years B.Com.

• Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Code 110): Class XII pass (Fresher Apprentice).

• Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Code 111): Class XII pass with a Skill Certificate in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’.

• Minimum Marks: Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates for reserved seats) in the prescribed qualification. The course must be a regular full-time course.

Stipend

• Stipend will be paid as per the Apprentices Act 1961/1973 and IOCL rules.

• Exact monthly stipend varies by trade and qualification.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 24 years (General/EWS)

Relaxations:

Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per Government guidelines. This includes 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
