Vacancy Details

IOCL has announced a total of 144 apprentice vacancies under its Eastern Region Marketing Division. The positions are distributed across multiple states and union territories, catering to various apprentice categories.

Education Details

• Trade Apprentice: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) along with a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.

• Technician Apprentice: A 3-year regular full-time Diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).

• Graduate Apprentice: Candidates should hold a regular full-time Graduation degree (BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA) in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).

Data Entry Operator (DEO): Candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).

(Note: Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, or CA are not eligible to apply).

Stipend Details

The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend in accordance with the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/1992 and the Apprentices Rules, as amended from time to time.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years (as of 28.02.2026)

• Maximum Age: 24 Years (as of 28.02.2026)

• Age Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxation is applicable as per government rules—5 years for SC/ST (up to 29 years), 3 years for OBC-NCL (up to 27 years), and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Selection Process

• Merit List: The selection will be entirely based on a merit list prepared according to the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in their prescribed educational qualification. There will be no written examination or personal interview.

• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the verification of their original educational, identity, and category documents.

• Medical Fitness Test: Candidates must clear a pre-engagement medical fitness test before the final offer letter is issued.

How to Apply

1. Eligible candidates must first register themselves on the respective government apprenticeship portal: use the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) for Trade/DEO Apprentices or the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) for Technician/Graduate Apprentices.

2. After successful registration on the portal, apply for the IOCL establishment using the designated Establishment ID.

3. Next, candidates must mandatorily fill and submit the Microsoft Form provided by IOCL to select their top three preferred training locations.

4. Ensure all personal, educational, and contact details are filled out correctly before the application deadline.

5. There is no application fee. Once all steps are completed, save a printed copy or screenshot of the final submission for future reference.
